I drank this last week.
How is this popular?
It's terrible.
Only the imported stella is good. The one they brew over east isn't worth buying. I'm guessing this is the locally brewed one.
They taste VERY different.
In store as well?
It's actually starting today (28/12) ready for new years eve which I'm pretty stoked about! I tried endeavor at the food and wine festival and loves it and Stella is a solid beer!
"There's a wide variety of member offers just for you.View all your offers in time for New Year's > Limit of 3 redemptions per offer, per card, per day. Offers valid 28 December 2015 — 31 January 2016. Scan your card in-store or buy online"
Not great deals, was planning to get another case of Dos Equis for $40 guess its not possible now.
They haven't had any good deals since November for beer. Probably trying to clear beer they have an excess of.
Still available at $40
With 3.5% Cashrewards on beer makes this quite a good deal.
Perfect for cleaning the BBQ!
Here's a bargain tip:
Another dismal month on the beer deals!. Gonna take my business to 1st choice and order 2 of these with the AMEX deal (spend $100, $30 credit back) https://www.1stchoice.com.au/Beer/3-pub-circus-pale-ale-bott…
Ummmmmm, that's a mass produced beer by Liquorland. Terrible, not worth $35 a slab. You'd be better of getting a 30 case of Tun Bitter.
Cricketers-arms-spearhead-pale-ale-cans-10-pack for $18 seems interesting, Anyone try? Had bottles of their keepers lager over christmas, was a nice drink. https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_840686/cricketers-a…
Also:
Oranjeboom 6-pack & Smith's, Grainwaves or Doritos 170g pack — Both for $10
The combination of this fantastic, authentic sessional import and these deliciously more-ish snacks will have you set for a great night in.
Well, if i'm buying corn chips and making nacho's anyway, that's $8 for 6 beer.
Cricketer's Arms Pale is pretty decent. Not craft level by any stretch but flavoursome and drinkable.
Bought the Cricketer's Arms. Much better deal than the Stella.
I went on a camping trip last month and drank these. Not bad, especially for a canned beer. I wish more companies would can their beer.
Yeah. I'm enjoying these spearhead cans with a bit of a fruit twist and the orangeboom 6pack- Much nicer taste than last months specials. I could imagine these tasting crap if you can't set your fridge to 3degrees celsius and enjoy the chill.
Another month of 'not worth driving to Dan's for beer' for me….
My brother goes there on Monday afternoons and finds lots of good discounted individual beers in the discount bin sometimes, can still find good stuff i suppose? Drank about 3 brewdog punk ipa cans on xmas day that he picked up cheap.
Only some Dan's seem to have the bargain bins. Thomastown is one, I loaded up there so much once I couldn't carry it on PT and had to get an Uber.
Really? I go to the Thomastown one all the time i never seen it haha where abouts in the store is it?
@wantbargains: on the left of the entry, just up against the wall there in the little alcove.
Can anyone comment on Endeavour?
Endeavour is a synonym for 'try'. I guess the beer is telling you what to do
I was endeavouring to spare myself the disappointment of another crappy beer & save money, which seems appropriate for this site.
It's a low carb mid strength. Very light on flavor. Good beer for chugging after mowing the lawn but that's about it.
I went to Dan Murphys today and I was advised by the staff Member there that this deal is only for the Low alcohol 3.3 % and low carb bottles. I guess if you really want a first class Stella go for the fully imported bottles from Belgium. Both the Australian and UK bottles brewed under license are way inferior to the Belgium version.
Actually the staff member is wrong, the mid strength was last months deal
+1 for Endeavour. Aussie owned and made.
Only the Légère Bottles are advertised as $10 for the membership offer.
Uum time for some wife beater
