well. this looks good, lets hope its still on in april so I can upgrade.

  • When you go to place an order it says $0 device repayments and there is no mention of device credits that need to be paid back if you cancel within 24 months. So if you cancel this plan half way through the term do you just pay the cancellation fee listed in the phone/table contracts and get to keep the phone/ipad without paying anything for them and just pay the maximum cancellation fees of $480 + $390?

    • Likely get billed $156 X 24, but give it a try & let us know lol

      • I've tried it in the past with success ;) but don't have a need for an iPad or an iPhone this time around. But if anyone is interested it is worth checking with online sales chat to see what the exit fees are.

my luck ill do it & get billed $3700 lol

        • so when you sign up I think you sign up to the following plans which are then bundled $135 My Plan Plus ($100 Promo) + $45 My Mobile Broadband Plus + $11pm month iphone/ipad repayment = $156pm

          Going on those links the cancelations are $870 ($100plan) + $480 ($45plan) + $264 (11 x 24 device repayments) = $1614

If it works like that & thats all you ahve to pay to cancel, you will save around $750 from buying both those devices outright

So who wants to give it a try lol

        • @RogueWolf:

          Or if you go with the 16GB iPhone and the 64GB iPad it's $390 ($80 plan) + $480 ($45 plan) + $0 device repayments (http://imgur.com/wpmFpLs) = $870 total.

Of course you'd want to confirm there are no hidden fees with online sales (and save your transcript). They had a similar "glitch" when the Nexus 6P was first released that I used… Nexus 6P for $230 :) (they were very quick to fix that one)

        • @stratbargain: It would be great if someone can confirm the above exit fees. This will be the ultimate ozbargain for 2015 thanks fo RogueWolf :)

        • @chacha: thank stratbargain if it works was his idea, I called optus asked if i cancel what are the costs, she was pulling numbers left right & centre & gave me a price just under $2100 (which is still below the cost of both devices), then I argued it doesnt make sense as its clearly states $11pm charge for both decives & cancelling the two contracts for the sim plans as per there contract pdf is $870 + $480 maximum, she said she will speak to manager & call me back in 30mins, 4 hours later no call back lol, gut feel she knew what I was getting at & possible it works, best case $1614 if it works, worst case just under $2100 which is still below rrp, so whos going to be the guinea pig lol (if anyone tries it call & confirm costs first)

        • @RogueWolf: shotgun not

        • @RogueWolf:

If you are going to try it I'd recommend online chat so you have a transcript you can refer to if they try and change the price later :)

  • Optus has the the iPad Pro 128GB Space Grey with 4B of data which I can add to my existing data pool for $30 plan + $49 = $1896 over 24 months, but unfortunately no stocks anywhere, including online :(

    • Yeah saw that but as you said out of stock
