Gents, another Sony deal, potentially cheaper than $2303.00 'IF' Sony cash back via CR is calculated at the RRP of $3499.00.
I contacted CR, and they can not confirm whether Sony estimates the CR on the RRP or the discounted price.

Please note; This is the 9000 series. If you've seen this at the stores, this is a very beautiful slim model.
IMO very close to the top of the range Panasonic I refer to on my earlier post, that Panasonic at 50% is Cheaper.

  If this is anything like the X900C international version (should be), it uses an IPS panel, so keep that in mind, especially if it's going to be used in a dark room. Review

    I've been reading little, not alot. I think the 9000 series are the much better version than the 900s. The 900s are a couple of years old.

      Well the X850C international version is identical to the X8500C here…very confusing with all the different models for each country.

        Agree, very frustrating when trying to compare and make an informed decision. I post this as Sony have a good reputation for well built quality sets.
        I actually would rather the panasonic I mention at 50% off (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225053), that has very good reviews. I was actually hoping it would come under 2K during this sales, either that or the 55" OLED. But no such luck… yet.

    actually the X900C is a IPS panel but the x850C uses a VA panel great for blacks

    If you were considering it, I suggest look at video pros 55" top of the range Panasonic deal at 50%off! That's supposed to be going back up soon also, in one of the reviews I read the Pana 800A is supposed to be on par with the x93 series from Sony, that's higher than this model.

  the panasonic is not 50% off RRP, even the video pro site says rrp is $3499. (and their sell price is only a $100 or 2 less than their previous sell price).
