Fellow ozbargainers end of year and my internet is finishing soon so $7 for my laptop protection is not a bad deal especially kaspersky
Total security for my computer $7

Other security vendors claim that their products will block any spyware they know about and can detect (regardless of who may have launched it), and Eugene Kaspersky, head of IT security company Kaspersky Lab, stated, "We detect all malware regardless its purpose and origin".

  • Awesome, cheers OP. I noticed the other day that the price went down, have been meaning to post this myself.

For all those that aren't sure, both the product (Kaspersky) and the vendor are absolutely fantastic.

A lot of common questions were covered in my previous post for SaveOnIt 3 user license. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225866

  • Throughout the 90's some contributor's in comp.talk.virus used to bag Eugene mercilessly regarding his airy-fairy "heuristics" approach, and point out he had neither the manpower nor resources of experts such as Symantec and McAfee - who would surely be using this "heuristics" falafel if it had any credibility…

While there is plenty of room for debate regarding the "best" AV, his argument then, as now, stands. For 0 day protection, this is your safest bet.

  • this is the 2015 version. not compatible with Windows 10 (not optimally compatible anyways) if you have windows 10, better off with the 2016 version.

if you want to get pissed off at Kaspersky check the US pricing vs the Aus pricing

US site where they offer 5 devices, for 3 years and are
currently offering a $199.00 discount and if i purchased within 10 minutes
i would get a further %15 discount again, bringing the total down to $84.99 US ($120ish AU).

how is it that the Australian store gets away with trying to charge $251.95
for 5 devices and only 2 years?

  • Your valid 2015 KIS/KAV/KTS license should work just fine for 2016 for the remainder of your license period, as the license policy is -1 & + 3 versions. IOW: 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018

Just downloaded the latest version and CD key works perfectly fine yay

    Hope this helps

  • when will it expire? like to wait for a better deal.
