  • will be picking this up with the $400 1TB xbox one bundle :)

  • +2

would be a great game if the multiplayer wasnt broken (PC)

    • +2

Only 12 people play the PC version online anyway so doesn't matter if it's broken or not.

  • +2

Was $40.19 on xbox live last week.

    • wha? how'd i miss that? :(

    • +1

but you only get a code? cant resell it.

    • Omg what… Fml

  • +8

Thanks but this is still not cheap enough for me to commit. I know it can go lower.

  • +7

This game doesn't worth the price. Yes the game look so beautiful it is one of the best looking game by now but the content are BS

    • But the content is BS?

      • -2

FYI BS=bullshit..watch some review and you will know what is going on. watch out for EA production

        • +1

Don't know why I got negged, I know what BS means. It just looked like the best game ever made but I haven't played it so you are saying it doesn't live up to the hype?

        • @clarky: You can finish the game with a few days and you will start loosing your hype soon

        • +1

@cwtrick: lol, gone are the days of Goldeneye…

        • @clarky: its just severely lacking in map content. A lot of things were cut in an effort to save time, like vehicles being 'power ups' you acquire so there doesn't have to be any docking/taking off animations or physics.

    • I tend to agree. It is an amazing looking game. It looks like star wars, sounds like star wars, and I love the fact that I can shoot at storm troopers.

The problem for me is quite simple. I like FPS's with a bit more depth to them and a better sense of progression. I would have been ecstatic if this was "Battlefield Star Wars".

      Quite happy, thank you :)

  • been playing it for a few weeks now off and on.
getting a bit repetitive and most of the other players are GUNS who will smoke you quick as you spawn.
    just my opinion.

    • Cant you play single player missions and build up your skill?

      • Has a limited bit of play in training missions but ai is nowhere near as good as the humans.
Or I'm just really rubbish. :)

        • Gee, love all the unnecessary negs from the arrogant know-it-alls, what Christmas spirit

        • +1

@clarky: haha yeh I seem to get a lot of negs. Not even sure what negs mean.
          Never mind. :)

I'm sorry to be a little vague with this, as I had to surrender the voucher immediately, but I got Star Wars Battlefront on Xbox One for $55.20 at Knox JB Hi-Fi on the weekend.

In short, the store was running a promotion where if you purchase a $50 gift card you receive a 20% discount on your next purchase (up to a $20 discount).

In short, I bought the gift card, scoured over the conditions (and found no exclusions, but must be used by 14/1/2016), then used the very same gift card and discount voucher to get Battlefront down from $69 to $55.20.

If the promotion's still running, that means people will be able to get it down from $59 to $47.20.

I hope that helps some people.

    • nice dude, definitely will try this

    • It's ok that promo has been posted on here already :)

    • oh awesome, that's exactly what i did at the start of the year to bring a $70 PS+ subscription down to $55. good to know the promo's back so i can repeat.

I can't wait for my son to open his PS4 tomorrow morning so we can play Battlefront. I have definitely heard mixed reviews on this game but got it for $50 last Sunday at JB in Canberra. Shelf price was a 'discounted' $69- i asked staff if that was the best they could do, he said $50, I said sold. Didn't even have to haggle or bundle with something else.

Have fun downloading updates before you can play ;)

Best to set it up tonight and have it ready to play :)

      • roger. will do.

      • Loading screen is playing as Vader, so yes it is quite fun.

Damned EA… Selling me games that runs for 6 days only

  • +1

Seriously, I bought this for $79 from jb so I'd have it for xmas.(only thing my eldest asked for). Bought it today from target for $68 to save $11 . now I'll have to buy this and return the other 2. Some people are go getters Im a go returner.

On a side note I cannot see how GTAV is still $59. it is such an old game but my son wants it on the ps4 santa is bringing tomorrow. has anyone seen it cheaper?

    • +2

GTA V has way more content than Battlefront that you can't even compare them. it can take you forever to complete the game and tons of fun where for battlefront you will start losing your interest in playing the game after a day or two.

      • i dont think he was comparing gtav to battlefront.

      • This is EA in a nutshell these days. They are money-hungry whores who now dish out their games like a drug dealer would, peddling small doses and withholding content to keep you buying more. They did it with their Battlefield franchise and they will do it with the rest of their catalogue. And the worst part is, the new generation of gamers will not know what they are missing out on, and so will not demand for this vile behaviour to cease. An 18 year old I spoke to was surprised to discover that Battlefield Bad Company was not, in fact, the first of the Battlefield franchise. He was then amazed to learn that Battlefield 2 included Commander mode, 9 classes and 64 player support. He remarked that it sounded like a lot of fun, and lamented that he couldn't have that kind of fun in the new Battlefield franchise.

        • Yea but battlefield 1942 had Extra content you had to buy like the expansions I've been playing red alert and command and conquer since day one they have always been the same!

        • @aussieprepper: The expansions had a lot of content though. You paid $30 for almost a brand new game. Secret weapons of WW2, and BF2's Special Forces was a totally new game. Now you pay $15 for a new map and a weapon

    • Bought the XB1 version for $20 @ Dick Smith ;)

      • We have the Xbox one version but his friends play online on the ps4. I think I'll bite the bullet and get it for him. It pretty much guarantees it will come out cheaper once I buy it.

  • Promo ends today i was in there today got fed up waiting was too busy and i emailed about it was told it finish today.
Had been looking to get something with it which was also on sale ending today so looks like i miss out twice.

Extra 10% off for those who didn't get their $1 games.

    • +1

      What 10% off?

      • Few weeks ago there was cheap $1 PS3/360 games to buy online, but some orders were cancelled so they gave out 10% off vouchers for games software purchases.

    • Thanks astroberryz. At first I'm like what are you talking about, but then I looked back through my emails re my JB order/s getting cancelled and bingo, there's the 10% off. I originally just glanced at the email and went "JB, you suck"

      • Is that 10% just for you or can anyone use it as be nice to spread the love . not been so lucky to get discount emailed from them but did wonder if it can be used more than once.

        • I'd be more than happy to share but they're unique codes.

    • +2

I tried using my code and got a message saying "The coupon code entered has expired."

Anyone else have issues using their code?

      • Yep. As they stuffed up 3 of my online orders they sent me out 3 unique codes but they all say expired. Pretty annoying as I was just about to place an online order to beat the crowds tomorrow.

        • And it was suppose to expire on 9th Jan, I've emailed JB about it.

  • Wondering if you can go there buy a gift card for $50 and get voucher for 20% off and then do same again so you have two 20% off vouchers?
As want to buy two different items.
Or in fact buy more and gain more vouchers? As one item im after is 98 on sale and another is just been added on there boxing sale 143.

    • i think the gift card promotion end on 24/12. So you can't get the bonus 20% voucher anymore. If you already had the voucher, it should be fine to buy the games.

  • combine with coke rewards jb hifi vouchers for dirtcheapness!

    • Wish i drank coke always looking for a saving with buying from these guys.

  • You can if in wa as im sure open till 9pm or there website is wrong and already closed?
Is there anything to say you cant buy another $50 gift card and get another voucher even if in different stores.
If it had not been xmas eve would have went out to try this but cant be bothered.
Was in jb today and got fed up waiting.

  • cheaper at target

    • just checked target, they have it for $68

  • I was waiting for this!

  • Rainbow 6 Siege also going for $59, but I didn't get a gift card with 20% off today, anyone got a spare? (one can dream)

    • $49 at Target otherwise.

      • +1

Yeah I'm hoping they will pricematch for PC, rules seems to vary a little store to store.

        • No love for the PC master race. :(

  • Remember to set aside another 50 bucks for premium so it at least resembles a complete game guys!

  • anyone think there will be some really good Xbox bundles on the Boxing Day sales?

Was looking at returning a bundle I recently got from EB games with the holiday bundle and fallout, halo 5 , cod advanced warfare , and sky landers for 499

But ATM I'm better of keeping it

  • That second bundle is actually the one I have but I got sky landers and cod advanced warfare token as well. It was originally that bundle but with Fifa 16, and both tomb raiders but I missed out

  • Just a heads up: This game is online only, meaning you'll need Live of PS+ to play it, which is 60 dollars depending if your subscription lapsed. From what i understand there is no single player content campaign, Feel free to correct me if im wrong.
