Long Time Lurker - First Time Poster

Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum is currently on sale at First Choice Liquor for 2 bottles for $80 in-store and online.

When it's not on sale this rum is priced at around the $50 to $55 mark.

Have yet to try the Black Spiced Rum, so hopefully it's as good as Kraken or the regular Gold Spiced Captain Morgan.

**I managed to Price-Match with Dan Murphy's for $39 per Bottle = $78 all up, no Cashrewards as I had to do it over the phone, but they will price beat in store (if within a 10km radius of a First Choice store)

    Anyone know how this compares to Kraken ?

    I ordered a bottle of Kraken last night for $50 at Dan's. Less $3 CashRewards, and 50c worth of Flybuys points.

        For sure :) via credit card points.. Since Dan's don't do FB points directly.

        $10 per $1K spent = 1% return on investment. Not as high as Amex, but welcome everywhere.

        Huh so it does.. even after I logged into my My Dans account and set my local store.
        Must have just got lucky last night ;) as my order status shows I paid $49.95 for it.

        Unless it was some unlisted promo combined with the other products/$value I ordered at same time..

      I bought 3 bottles when 1st Choice had a 2-for-$X deal on and you still save on the third bottle (i.e. 3-for-$1.5X); you don't need to buy 4.

    I bought six bottles with this link, and decided I did not like the rum. Its not as good as the Kraken, nor rebellion bay, though they are more expensive. This is a good price to acquire the rum, but I don't think it is worth it.

      Agree. The Kraken is much better. Even the regular spiced rum is better. I have jumped ship (pirate joke there) to Sailor Jerry's though.
