NSW Public Schools Easter/Term 1/2 break 2016 (32 day holiday for the cost of 11 LSL days)

Hello.

This is most likely for NSW school teachers only…

In 2016……

Easter (4 days)
9 school days plus a weekend(LSL 11 days)
Term 1/2 holidays (16 days)
Australia Day holiday (1 day)

Total = 32 days.

This means that by taking just 11 days LSL you can get a 32 day holiday.

I suggest you hit up your principal pretty quickly otherwise you might need to go to Federation.

Poster is entitled to take LSL at a time that is suitable to them, provided the school is able to meet staffing requirements. Teachers at my school are still required to plan and provide resources, so taking leave is certainly not something to do lightly. Why shouldn't the OP maximise, through totally legitimate means, their opportunity for leave?

Not a teacher, but take my hat off yo you OP. I have close friends who are teachers and know how much they really work. You deserve a great holiday.
