I'm pretty over Rivers stuff as a rule, so much junk, so much rubbish, but their 'soft thongs' are actually pretty good. Comfortable and long-lasting.
are havaina thongs and generic thongs made out of the same rubber or will I get better cushioning with a better brand?
Definitely not the same. Different rubbers. I find Havaianas are much springier, and a bit weightier.
Even Ipanemas feel completely different. The rubber on those are smoother than the grippier Havaianas and your feet land a bit firmer.
Havis are the heaviest thongs I've ever worn, with the second or third most annoying rubber for the straps.
There are other colours & sizes.
But not for $2.
I got a pair of size 9 (43)red/blue for $2.
I could find only one design and one size (45) for $2.
@virhlpool:
They sold quick.
Not sure whether I should put in separate post as it is "Everyday Low Price", but when I went to spend my free $10s at Big W, I found that it sells thongs for $2.
anyone else perplexed with rivers shoe sizing. im usually a 10 in most shoes, but for rivers im more of an 8 1/2…. pretty weird.
Maybe with runners you are following US sizing and Rivers do UK/AU sizing.
Exactly. Rivers sizes are Australian sizes vs the US sizes that are now coming into fashion everywhere.
I've observed the same thing so I don't think it's the US/UK sizing confusion. I was pleasantly surprised with their sizes since it's almost impossible to buy the UK/AU equivalent of size 12 and above in Asian bazaars.
I bought two pairs of ladies sandals from rivers a week apart a size 40 and 41. The smaller pair are bigger compared to the larger size which are snug and shorter. Go figure.
annnnnnnd they're gone
still getting through the free rip curl thongs from 2 years ago.
This seems decent at $25
All gone.
Put the size in the title?
