To Prepare:
Preheat oven to 190°C
Remove neck and trim wings to 2nd joint, open the vent at the leg and drain any liquid from the cavity. Dry the skin with a paper towel and season the duck with salt. Place your favourite herbs in the cavity.
Place the duck on an oven rack in a roasting dish
Roasting:
Roast in the preheated oven until brown all over and juices run clear. Approximate roasting time is 40 minutes per kg.
Allow to rest for 20 minutes before serving.
seems like a lot of effort, I dont even know what half of that means. always wanted to get one to cook but the instructions are confusing as hell
The important thing about roasting a duck is: you cannot roast it like a chicken.
It has to be dry.
+1 for what BuyoTheCat said about a dry Duck. See Justine's Video for a better understanding. I leave it overnight in the fridge to dry out as she suggests.

'Luv A Duck' are also located in Lytton (Brisbane South)in QLD. They also make pies at their factory/warehouse & they are the best pies I have ever eaten!!!
