There seem to be a couple of models, and yeah, no clear description, but this guy (who seems to fancy himself as a bit of a Dr. Frasier Crane!) demonstrates plugging a USB-Lightning cable into that little slot… so yeah, looks like it is at least a charge port, if not a pass-through.

Is the other port on this device a Lightning pass-through? I can't seem to find a description for it on Apple/Target websites.
