Masters one is a pop up gazebo

Aldi one needs to be built pole by pole

    • Thanks WaywardOne for letting us know of the Aldi one, and TuneTown for pointing out the differences/things to be aware of.

Has anyone seen any 3x6m marquees left in Aldi (Sydney metro stores) by any chance? I know it is a SpecialBuy from 16/12 (so very unlikely) but just in case someone does, please let me know!

I think Aldi will be selling the 3mx3m gazebo this Saturday but the price is higher than this Masters one and I am after the larger size.

Anyone own one of these? Is it worth getting or will it collapse into a heap at the first signs of wind?

I had a similar one a few years ago. Without walls it fared okay in the wind but in heavy rain the water pooled on top - I couldn't tighten the fabric that much that water wouldn't pool at all. After a night of heavy rain I came out to see a side had collapsed under the weight of a pool and it was good for the bin.

Now I stick with a cheaper ($35), lighter, pole-by-pole unit. It takes me 5 minutes longer to set up but it has no delicate mechanisms to break and in the event a pole did break I could easily replace it with one from my spare - yet 2 years later it's fairing well. Takes up much less space in the car too.

      • Which one did you get?

        • Don't know brand name but it was from the Reject Shop.

  • I have a k-mate brand (ebay store with walk in Springvale vic). Paid about 140 for it has 3 solid walls and one fly wall. Have had for about 5 years, solid as and very happy with it … buy cheap you'll be putting it out on hard rubbish sooner than you'd like. Im not affliated with k-mate.

Oicked one up this morning. The quality is very good. Very easy to erect. Comes with wheel cover and all rope and pegs. It stands well with light wind without pegs. Probably want to peg it down to be safe.

also picked one up this afternoon ,pretty impressed the legs are thicker than the last on i had that died in wind.. Apart from the plastic joiners I have a little more confidence in this one lasting a while
