Tony, is that you? Ah, don't worry. It can't be you. He's more of a Gumtree shopper. :/

    • Nah….me ain't no Tony …

But I am a gumtree person too.

  • Damn
Looking in the link seems like cheapest is $999

We actually need a dishwasher as outs has broken but im pretty sure mom wont want to pay that much.
She prefers the $400 ones :/

    • I had $400 dollar ones…..

Never had a real flash one with bigger brand…..so giving it a try.

Apparently one if the best out there. Hopefully won't break down too soon.

But again, for that price tag, you can chuck $400 DW away when it breaks and buy a new one ….5 times !!!

      • Haha yeh exactly, we had ours for about 8 years so it did its job.
Who knows how long a $999 one will last.
True that its a good brand but what im wondering is will it cost more to repair once its out of warranty if it breaks down.

      • In the meantime the $4oo one will have cost you a fortune in electricity costs.

We used a power meter on one of these, and an entire wash used something like 13cents of electricity.

    • Our Meile dishwasher has been trouble free and it is over 20 years old.

  • Hirolol, I can recommend an excellent dishwasher technician

    • Haha….probably cost half the dishwasher with electrician fixing the DW.

Unless it's a branded DW, now people usually toss it when it plays up and buy a new.

  • Thats not being very green lovepub, that is not always the case, I had mine repaired and it was alot cheaper than buying a replacement machine.

    • Agree with you being not environmentally friendly. But when repairing things cost more than half of the item cost, then I would still go down the road .

      A bit like printers.

  • In some cases that may be true and they are certainly not worth fixing, but in some other cases it can be a simple and cheap fix.

  • Especially if you are able to fix it yourself…not that difficult in most cases

  • Hey OP, which dishwasher did you end up getting and do you recommend it?

    • Got the G6300. Wanted the auto open door function….so this is the cheapest model which have this feature plus the adjustable cutlery tray

Can't say if I like it or not, but wife says it's great. So must be good

The extra saving is a bonus.
