Hisense 32" HD Smart LED-LCD TV $379 with $20 off Buying Gift Card @ JB Hi-Fi

10

Seems like a pretty good TV with specs for the price. Can't seem to find anything better atm. Even better with $20 extra off with the JB Hi-Fi deal at the moment. Best thing about this TV is the 3 year warranty and the fact it is a SMART tv for the price.

  • I dunno, Soniq plus Chromecast would be cheaper…

    • Why would you go for a Soniq when there is no 3 year warranty?

      • +2

Hisense isnt a premium brand. So I wouldnt have much faith in them.

As far as Soniq's go. Some people have had horror stories, while my brothers 32's lasted almost 10 years before dying. And we used to transport that thing around in boots, and on back seats of cars to peoples houses for Halo parties for years.

Thought id add this is not a great deal. Pretty common to see 32 1080 tv's for around the 200-250 mark.

Ahh split screen halo on a 32" TV, those were the days.

        • I agree, amazing that it's not full hd at that price, but it does have the smart features which I personally haven't seen in the lower-priced (200-250 mark) 1080 32 inch tv's.

        • @Tasmaniac: Hey Rod

  • I went into Harvey Norman a few months ago, and there were a bunch of this model on sale for $279. I thought it was a no-brainer. Whilst it did have a pretty decent picture, the smart features are an absolute joke. Whilst streaming across a local network, a big overlay was persistently covering the image (that couldn't be turned off). The same was true for its 'casting' feature, which only worked with low resolution devices. I spent 3 weeks with the Hisense help desk to resolve it (firmware upgrades, nand flashing, service menu tweaking) and it was never resolved. HN eventually took it back. I would highly recommend getting a dumb TV and a $39 Chromecast for a much better time. Especially for $379.

    Thanks guys!

I actually put this up as a bit of a test. My sister is looking for a TV at the moment and she picked this one as recommendation from the JB Hi-fi salesman saying it is a good middle brand been around for a long time. I didn't think it seemed that great but couldn't find any other 'middle brand' Smart TVs for that price.
    Thanks for your advice.

    • Thanks for the neg, fair enough really I did seem to think it might be a good deal hence putting it up.

  • I think my sisters main concern is that if her TV was to stuff up in 3 years if she got the soniq what is she meant to do?
She has awful luck with anything electronic.
Whether it be phones whatever only lasting a couple of years.

  • Surprised no one has said it yet, so I'll go ahead and say it "Eww…not Full HD!?"

  • 1366 x 768 Resolution!!

regardless of how great a "smart" tv appears, there remains the issue with upgrades.

personally, I'd buy a dumb TV (with great specs) and an android box. android boxes are usually easy to update and there are a ton of people working on improvements.

    • Jesus didnt see that is was 720p… must be real old stock or something.

  • 720p is not bad. Fine for a bedroom TV. I have a 32" Samsung 720p and TV and Xbox One both look great on it. But agree this deal is not great.

  • Eww…not Full HD!?

  • I got an Onix 42" UHD from Target one month ago for $349

  • smart tv

    dumb resolution
