I noticed as I was unpacking my new Seiki 55" UHD TV (SE55KS001AU) that there were small fluid (oil like) droplets on the back plastic cover. This was the second TV I had as the first was replaced as it was faulty. It also had the same small " droplets". At the time I wasn't that worried as they wiped off easily enough. However I have noticed they do come back over time and increase. It's something I've not experienced before and I did contact Seiki tech support and ask If I should be worried, for eg, if it could be an acidic or toxic substance. The droplets seem to be over the back plastic cover section and do not seem to be leaking out of the inside of the unit, so maybe some sort of breakdown of the plastic? Seiki support, after 2 emails and photos, replied that I was the first to report this and that they were referring it to the factory. Haven't heard back as yet. I was wondering if any other owners could have a look at the back of their sets and check if there are any of these oily droplets appearing. Also any thoughts on what they might be?
Wow, could you take a photo? Would be interesting to see them growing over time?
