Their own website and subscriber email actually says 11th Dec is the cutoff for in-stock titles, so I think the AustPost email is incorrect in that regard.
I found Booktopia to be more expensive, and slower in regards to delivery compared to The Book Depository.
Dreaming, Booktopia is in Sydney and postage is much faster than Book Depository which takes around 8 business days minimum.
Booktopia is sometimes next day delivery for me in Sydney.
Certainly Booktopia can cost a little more than BD but after having many deliveries go missing and not having any traceable shipping method I have started to shy away from BD.
So what happened - did you get your money back? (BT is $100 for two books I want - and BD is $85.)
They ask you to check local post office; if nothing found then they usually ship a replacement. It's happened to me a couple times, first time the replacement and after it also didn't arrive they refunded my money.
Second time they shipped a replacement and it was here in 8 days.
You won't lose your money, just annoying to have to wait and wonder if the book will arrive. It's a shame they don't have a tracked option for shipping.

Does anyone know if you can buy a book on booktopia, and send it to someone COMPLETELY anonymous - so there's no billing info, no email address, etc. included?
