My Canberra click and collect order cancelled :( think they are acknowledging the ones that paid postage whereas click and collect are getting refund if store does not have stock.

Sorry guys. Just got an email that they are circulating about how they apparently oversold and technical issues, didn't even get my one that I ordered before posting the deal.
Another instance of DS not having stock despite saying so.How come? so they did not have any stock at all when this deal been posted?

well i picked up 2 out of 3 i ordered. i made 2 orders 1unit from website and 2units from ebay.
I ordered on website first then found the ebay listing.
ironically, the ebay order for the 2 was accepted and the 1 i ordered on website was cancelled.
Cancellation email.. and the reason was…
"Dick Smith acknowledges that the goods within this order have not been collected and all risk and title will transfer back to Dick Smith."

Great way to piss off customers, show stock, accept orders, take $$, then cancel them. Getting over the time waste that is DSE.
mine was also cancelled, ebay CnC. I just bought it from the store (woden ACT) where I supposed to collect. left around 2 pcs when I left around 1130am.

Grabbed one from the store today for $5. The helicopter was not marked as on clearance so nobody knew it was on sale. Luckily I saw it posted on Ozbargain =D
After having my C&C from toombul cancelled I was disappointed to walk into Dick Smith toombul today and discover at least 15 of these on the shelves.

Just went to Toombul after seeing the comment above. Can confirm there were still a fair few left at 3:30pm. Sticker says 39.99 but scans at $5. Thanks for the tip!

got to say the helicopter is pretty durable, smashed into walls and the floor about 30 times and still going strong
I got two of these for the kids go Xmas. On first charge the thing started smoking, and no longer works, not that it worked that well to start with. Waste of $10.
