They're just hard to find, full stop.
All EBs on my side of town don't have any (or never got any). JB had some, but now looks like stock is scattered around a few stores only.
Whats the 5% off code as I didn't get the email from them with it today.
Its on the front page….https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/223017
If you mean jbhifi main page that doesn't help as I am subscribed already & I didn't get an email & if I put my email in again it confirms I am subscribed… Is it a set code?
As much as this is a deal, I can't help but wonder how long it'll be before there's a Xbox One for Windows bundle for like a flat $70 for the controller or some such.
Also the DS4 isn't bad on Windows either, the touchpad can be good for mouse stuff if the driver you're using works that way.
$89 at PLE

Still cheaper to get this + controller from Umart $82.55
Is there any advantage to the Xbox One controller over the 360 controller?
Has independent vibration in the triggers but doesn't seem like PC is taking advantage of that yet.
So nothing major really. It's very minimal. But this would also allow you to use the elite which would be an improvement of sorts.
Not really. Slightly better d-pad.
Yes, it's new - it has rumble triggers, it's new tech (likely to be supported longer) it's compatible with an Xbox One if you ever buy one, which is current.
its said to support the chatpad too i think.

the 360 chatpad was a real pain to try and get to work and required some extensive firmware hacks afaik.
@jmiersy: yay! I had no idea they were even releasing an Xbox One chat pad. I might be able to ditch my logitech keyboard for text input to lounge-room Gaming PC, thanks for the tip. Thanks OP for the adapter link, bought one :)
@traversal: check out controller companaion on steam! completey replaced my wireless keyboard!
I get the impression that's a store built bundle though, not an actual MS product in one?
Still waiting on a Windows 7 Hack, only progress I could find was a Reddit post, but the guy hit a wall when he tried to run a service that was included with windows 10
Just move up to Windows 10. Not much point sticking to Windows 7 except the interface.
Isnt the adapter locked to "Windows exclusive" games?
Well the adapter is locked to Windows 10 only due to the drivers and stuff, nothing locked on games. It works like the previous xbox 360 controller dongle.
@Letrico: confirmed! Bought this and windows 7 does not even recognise this
is this function the same as wireless adapter included in Xbox 360 wireless for windows?
Nope. Xbox 360 wireless adapter will only work with Xbox 360 controllers and Xbox One Wireless Adapter only works for Xbox One controllers.
If anyone is having trouble getting this work, follow these instructions : https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/4901239384302… one of the versions will work. For me the 21th Nov 64 bit one worked.
This adapter will now work with windos 7, 8/8.1 Drivers here http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_on_windows_support/…
Awesome. THANKS!!
These seem to be bloody hard to find at the mo, for a good price
Im just building my first gaming PC and I needed one of these.
Thanks again
