  • Apple sells them for $129…? Wow

    • +1

I was shocked when I grabbed one not knowing the price.
Apparently these Apple ones are genuine leather.
I must say, mine does look a lot better after wear and tear than the cheap copies.

RRP $129 for a 'smart' cover is truely insulting. Even Microsoft Surface type cover is considered overpriced. But this is worse, it is just a cover……

    • +1

      No no, it's a "case".

      • +2

it's a "case" that should be brought before the ACCC

        • +2

The ACCC can't prosecute companies for actual violations, what do you think they'll do in this "case"…

  • +1

    Thats freakin expensive!

  • So 4 or 5 smart covers will cost the same as an actual ipad devices ? Rediguous!

  • It is a good indication of how overpriced all their gear is…..stop buying it people!

    • Leather is luxury material. Plastic is cheaper. There's choice, so, buy what suits you.

This deal has been ongoing since mid of the year. I have this as my watch list 5 months ago. Still a good deal fresh reminder :)

  • +1

Not trolling, but where does it say in the eBay listing that it's "genuine" or am I just blind? :)

    • it doesn't mention that this is an "Apple" branded/produced product. I'm pretty sure that if it was, they'd be doing a song and dance about it.

      • +1

It is from Telstra so i doubt they would be selling knock offs.
pluss the photos match the genuine Apple Smart Cases.

My guess is that these are legit Apple cases from a legit seller.
If not, should be pretty easy to get a refund from Telstra

        • playing Devil's Advocate…

but if Target's ad never said "Genuine Apple" cases, then they've not misled us. We have just assumed

        • In the original deal on OzB the poster did supply photos of the item he'd received and it certainly appeared genuine.

  • Anyone know if these will fit the original iPad Air?

    • +1

different size and cuttings, so its a NO

  • I asked the ebay seller a question - are these genuine Apple product and he replied with a "no"

    • They are probably not allowed to say if they are or not. But they definitely look the same as the ones on the Apple website.
