Smiths 20 Pack Variety Chips $4.49 + $1.68 Woolworths Dollars at Woolworths

350

Not as good as the Poppins Microwave Popcorn rewards at Woolies, but still a pretty decent deal IMO.

I usually buy these when they are on special for $5 a box. This works out to be an effective price of $2.81 for a box of 20 which is really good value especially if you have school age children.

The 20 Pack Twisties Variety box is also on special for the same price and rewards.

Not sure if this deal is nationwide and judging by the label, I think it expires today.

alternatively, some of you might have a $10 off $70 spend email offer to activate (should be week 2 of a 2 week offer)

Its different for everyone based on previous spending history. For mine it was spend $80 get $15. For my wife it was spend $130 and get $25. My wife usually spends more on main grocery shop so the lure amount is higher.

      • I got 2 x $10 off $40 - although it says that not valid for gift cards - has anyone tried and got the cashback or woolworths dollars?

      • it's different for everyone based on previous spending history

I know, read the first 5 words of my first comment…

  • Has anyone else found that microwave popcorn hasn't been popping properly? I find that I only get half a bag of popped kernels and they don't seem to want to pop. Is that why we only paid 28 cents a bag?

Mine are fine, get a full bag out of the ones I've had so far

No problems with mine either. I find that with my microwave 2.25 to 2.35 mins is optimal. Too much more and they tend to burn.

    • Mine are really good. Im using the 'raw' variant.

  • This sounds like a good deal. Overall it works out to just under half price provided you will eventually get over $10 worth of Woolworths Dollars to redeem in a reasonable time. If the product doesn't go on half price special very often then it is definitely a good deal.

  • Mother 6 packs ($15.99) are currently $5.50 back in rewards. Unfortunately ends tomorrow.

  • So is the 'effective' price of $2.81 a good price? Was it any cheaper than that before?
Man WW rewards is making it difficult for everyone.

    • $4.49 is the cheapest it's been since about the start of September, price history.

  • Is this nation wide?

  • I have the double woolworths promo activated at the moment so these are $1.13

    • +1

We know what you mean, but you still have to spend $4.49 to get them and then later spend your earned credit back at woolies, so technically you are not getting them for $1.13.

If you think like they are $1.13 then woolies are winning their little game.

      • But i buy these all the time anyway for school lunches so some store credit is always good

  • Decent deal, but the $1.72 Poppin Varieties with 72c WOW dollars (buy 14 and then get $10 credit activation) is still better. Thanks for sharing OP!

  • That is a good deal for this pack. They are usually about $6.50 and come on sale for $5 semi regularly.
School Holidays coming up, so typical sales volumes may be down..

    • +1

According to the price tag, the full price is exactly $6.70 at OP's store.

Kids don't eat chips during school holidays?

      • Kids may be less likely to be given conveniently packaged single serve chips that easily fit in school lunchboxes during school holidays, yes.

  • Thanks OP. Good find. Really a good deal to combine with $10 off $40
