  • Just throw them in the bin after use. Do not flush them down the sewer!!

    • +2

      That is disgusting.

      • +1

It'll be even more disgusting if your toilet clogs up and expels poo-water everywhere.

      • +4

You throw dirty nappies in the bin…how is it any worse?

      • +2

don't go to asia then!!! A lot of places have bins next to the loo for 'toilet paper' as its not allowed to be flushed!!

  • +1

Wonderful, we finally can finally look forward to these in Australia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatberg

  • The people that got these are monsters

  • +3

    Can't be flushed

  • +4

Neg as these are not flushable.

  • +4

neg as these are not flushable

  • +5

not flushable. they block the sewers and cause massive cleanup costs that will be added to everyone's tax bill.

  • +3

I heard a rumor that white vinegar and a cloth work wonders:)

  • +3

    Just wet standard toilet paper

  • +8

As a plumber, I can almost guarantee you'll be paying for one of us to come and unblock your sewer with any of these "flushable" wipes

    • +2

Kudos for not up-voting the deal.

  • -1

Is it just me or it seems like the constant neg post in rows are the same user or Kleenex staff?

    • It's just you. If you read the posts, Kleenex has the same issue.

  • +2

Neg as they can cause hundreds in plumbing costs. They also increase service costs for everyone else (bit like rooftop solar poor tax in that way)

  • +1

I made good use of cleaning computer tables of Kleenex tissues. It will help me cleaning windows and then it will go in Green waste bin as Kleenex.

  • +2

Please use toilet paper and do not put stress on the sewage system

  • +3

So unnecessary, such a waste of resources, such a strain on the sewerage system. Nothing good about these IMHO and the suppliers should not be encouraged by people accepting samples.

    • Report it like I have

      • On what grounds debravity? Have never reported b4

        • Hi hen. That the product doesn't do what it says it does. FLUSH. :)

  • +1

Free wipes. No such thing as flushable wipes. I'm happy to score some free wipes. I'd never put them down the loo. They need to change their packaging to Free Emporia Wipes Sample Pack. Take out the word 'flushable' and not market them that way. Seems like all ozbargainers know they're not flushable.

    • +3

But accepting this freebie is sending a message to the supplier that they're onto something that people want, and their marketing as 'flushable' will continue. Not all shoppers are as savvy and sensible as 'us'!

      • +2

I wouldnt buy them however I am happy to use free wipes. When people aren't buying a product thats when the supplier has to rethink their strategy. Its a cost to them to give them away especially as they have to post them to you. Not like being on the street and giving out free samples. I'd never buy any wipes advertised as flushable. Thats how they get the message.

Hitting almost 3000hits, it proves how many of us love this paper. On the contrary it's going to meet the 20000 mark.

  • +1

If you read the fine print on their televised advertisement, it says ' based on use of one wipe'. Pretty sure their test didn't take into account multiple people taking a dump!

  • +1

    Flushable - yes. Un-cloggable - highly doubt

  • +1

It's a freebie. I don't intend to flush them down. I will bin then once used don't see a problem

  • Cheers OP

  • Can I use these to clean my baby's butt when changing his diaper?

    • Yes. Get some of those plastic bags for the nappy and wipes. Tip the poo out of the nappy into toilet and flush, dump nappy and wipes into the plastic bag.

  • +1

These negs… Soft drink is advertised as drinkable, but it destroys teeth and hardly quenches thirst. Neg it too

  • +1

NOT REALLY FREEBIE. These will clog sewerage systems and cost local councils millions of dollars every year to fix the clogged system. And you wonder where the money come from?
These will cost you, and everyone else as well.

  • These should only be allowed for sale if the producer is held responsible for unblocking drains caused by their use.

  • What about poobiotics ?
Is you arse wipe with these then you lose the small amount of friendly bacteria that's protecting the exit zone to your bum !

  • +1

These are the bane of our sewage system! https://www.sydneywater.com.au/SW/water-the-environment/what…

  • +1

and we wonder why the environment has / is going to crap…
    neg!

  • On a positive note- We can all make small changes to help this and other situations:)

  • +1

    These are crap

  • -1

It's great to see how aware the ozbargainers are on how shit these things are. We should order them and throw them into the bin.

    • -2

Thats a waste. Just use them, nothing is saying you have to use them as toilet wipes or flush them.

  • +4

If you like a clean arse Ebay sell a number of add on small "shower head douches" that are VERY easy to install to an existing toilet. Much better and cheaper than using these (and yes I was guilty before too - sucked in by the marketing). Check this out:

One of my favourite things about being in Asia is the bum gun. Come back home and feel like a savage wiping my ass with paper.

  • +1

As above. Wipes aren't flushable. (https://www.sydneywatertalk.com.au/wet-wipes)

  • As awful as it sounds I need these wipes. Living with chronic anal fissure is a constant "joy" of constant bleeding and pain whenever you poop.. these "flushable wipes" actually relieve me of most pain and bleeding. Normal toilet paper just scrapes and makes it more painful and bleed worse or if my poop hasn't already opened a wound normal toilet paper definitely will. I have learned the hard way of why these wipes are crap however and I know these aren't good for the pipes after the plumber came to my house to unblock my toilet… but I will still use them though. These really do make my life better but I won't be flushing them down toilets any more.. just putting them in the bin.. although that doesn't appeal to me at all lol.

    • You could always try having some flannels and a nappy bucket to collect them and soak them to wash and repeat use. It is the little things that change the world.

    • +2

see my post two above yours - this would be much better for you as no 'contact' in that area

    • You should install a bum gun on your toilet then. Although more commonly in the Western world we use a bidet.

In some parts of Asia, particularly SE Asia, every toilet has a bum gun..

  • Best to avoid this product. Could cost you $$$.
    Not a cool OzBargain deal.
