I've bought some good bargains from Swann over the years, but the wireless alarm system is junk at any price.
Actually, I left the PIR sensors with der Blinkenlichten up as decoy/deterrents.
The dashcam looks very interesting though. I could use a better one. Anybody tried it?
btw - i grabbed the alarm to add extra sensors to the alarm system 2 setup - it works ok and one sensor normally costs that or more. Now i have 8 PIR and 6 magnetic (and 3 control units but meh)

they are the same apart from the one on JB hifi providing remote controlled pan/tilt/zoom movement, so it is better if you would use that.
but bear in mind if you want to record there may be a cost for the default 'cloud' system http://www.swann.com/au/swanncloud/
Is seems tho that you should be able to configure another computer to connect to either and record them without much difficulty.

Wonder if the dash cam has video out.. Thinking I could use it as wifi video intercom for the front door…
EDIT. TinyCam pro is on sale so answered my own question..
You could easily - it has HDMI out and you are also able to view the video over WiFi, not sure if you need to use their app or it is usable through any IP connection
I purchased 4 of the dash cams last week. I'm interested to see how refurbished they are. $49 was a steal. I almost bit when they were $99.
My 4 turned up today. I opened one at it is boxed as new, which is good because I intend to give them away as Christmas presents. Have not turned it on but so far so good. It is also a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be :)
