Although the LG is pretty good so far
This TV is better in specs and reviews are much better compared to LG.
I guess it is personal preference a slightly bigger screen or specs such as an extra HDMI port in Samsung than LG or a faster processor..
Both are still good TV's.
How is the input lag on this TV for gaming?

I just purchased one using the CXMASTECH code, but it looks like I've been charged the full amount. The emailed receipt from PayPal shows the discounted amount ($718.40), but when I log into PayPal, it says $898.00 has been deducted. Is this normal?
Yes this is normal. You should get an email receipt of $718.40 but the actual invoice would be for $898.00.
