    yep second this I've got the 3000 and it's good but the screen really needs an active digitizer. My mate's 15 7000 is fantastic though for note taking etc (using stylus)

    It doesn't look like the 7000 is available with a discrete (mobile) video card - is this correct? I could only find them all with Intel HD Graphics 5500, but I'm not familiar with the current Inspiron's.

    I thought about that 1st and reach out to MS support to check max supported memory, Battery life and Dell model. None of the support people were able to answer that.
