Hey, quick two questions. I usually go to Village Cinemas and they have a membership card… Does Hoyts have a membership card that needs to be presented when using the voucher? The voucher says member exclusive.
Also, using this is no problem for weekend right? Saw the T/C, doesn't say anything about weekend shows.

I think "member exclusive" meant you'll have to sign-up to be an online member. Cos the voucher's emailed out to said members :) HTH.

Try saving the PDF instead of opening it straight away. Solved it for me.

I'm a member of the Hoyts club and I don't have a membership card (one was never sent to me) so you all should be right to use the voucher without one!
I wonder if that writing code error was because it was trying to include a unique barcode into the PDF.
That's what Hoyts has done in some of it's past members offers.
But then again it doesn't say anything about that in the Terms and Conditions so it might be able to be used by anyone.
For anyone in QLD complaining about no Hoyts cinemas here I just read on the Hoyts site that all Hoyts gift cards and movie vouchers work at AMC cinemas too. Just a little heads up for anyone.

Yeap. Used it today as well. No membership card needed. Watched Edge of Darkness. Mel Gibson's first movie in 8 years and he still kicks ass. Awesome movie but I'm a huge Mel Gibson fan, so I love all his action movies anyway.
Watched Edge of darkness as well tonight, it's kinda like Taken in a slower pace, but loved it.

can we use two vouchers in one transaction cause I understand not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or voucher means you can't use more than one voucher for the one ticket but we're buying two tickets here
I think you should be able to. Anyway, you can always just print 2 copies of the voucher and if they don't allow it in a single transaction, get the other person to 'line up' after you and purchase it. Simple. :)
I did print out the above double vouchers and used 2 A4 sheets to get 4 movie tickets without any problem in the same transaction, meaning everyone could sit together.
i even met some hotys managers who accepted vouchers printed on both sides of a sheet.

I was thinking of that too but after looking through, I am assuming it will work for NFL movies since it's not stated in the T&C. Only says it won't be valid for special ones eg 3D movies.

Aha, just saw it. Doesn't look like anyone is stupid enough to buy it though. Would be nice if you could just use one voucher to buy as many tickets, because in reality there is nothing stopping you from photocopying it a dozen times for the same effect. Just means you waste ink/paper… unless Hoyts is in colluding with the ink and paper companies… :p
