    "*Made from Genuine Bamboo Wood."

Bamboo is a grass. What's genuine bamboo wood?

    "*Feature:UV Protection,Wooden Imitation"

    Not genuine wood then.

    "*Frame Material:PC+Wooden"

Plastic and wood? Where's the bamboo then?

Bamboo is a grass. What's genuine bamboo wood?

Wood comes from trees. "Tree" just means tall plant - there's no botanical definition of tree.

      Bamboo wood is perfectly acceptable.

Botanically it is in the grass family but it has some similarities to hardwood.

There's a number of differences but the big one for any product you buy will be that it isn't possible to have a solid 'piece' of bamboo, like you would with wood, to form the object. Instead, they have to glue the fibres together. The amount of glue and grass they use can differ substantially.

A lot of the really cheap kitchen utensils are mostly glue and don't last very long. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same.
It is cheaper for them to use and they like to charge more because of the 'eco' benefits and then use lots of glue.

Personally I'd only use it for flooring where they often use less glue and you have the advantage that termites don't like grass as a food source.

          heres a fact

          socially speaking nobody cares

        • @furythree: On Ozbargain you may care when your sunglasses fall apart. If the manufacturer/reseller cannot describe their product properly, it is usually a pretty big hint.

This site has little to do with 'socially speaking'. The more you know…

        • i usually just buy another pair

Tons on AliExpress around US$4-$5, cbf scrolling much longer to find the exact match to these

    • Aliexpress FTW

    • Just had a look and none of them had bamboo frame until you hit the US$30 mark.

The picture for this bargain looks like plastic though. It says PC + Bamboo so maybe it is PC coated?
