Apparently you get a free game when you preorder the special edition at Game (not online). Anyone know what the free game choices are?
You get a code so you can download the DEMO from the Sony servers.
Unless you get the collectors pack which includes GoW 1 and 2. So maybe its that.
The collector's pack is tempting and I love God of War. but i really don't know if i'll be playing the first and second one again… I still have them both for the PS2.. but dammit. Its so damn tempting.
No it's definitely a full retail game as it states 'from the selected range' so it's obviously one of the many they've been trying to clear out.
Just like if you buy metro 2033, you get stalker for free. Just trying to clear old stock.

yes we do have several different sources but in this case the stock comes from Aus.

Well, maybe not for new games, but it will definitely be an import so while we're comparing import prices, it's a pretty standard price.Every experience I've had with Fishpond has had me waiting over a week for items to even be shipped so it's not much better. Good for prices but crap if you want the game when it's actually released!
How much will it be at Kmart? Probably only $6 or $7 more.
I preordered Uncharted 2 from CDWow and didn't get it till a few weeks after the release date, kind of makes the whole preordering thing pointless.
Edit: Should note that if the rep could guarantee delivery within a day or so of the release date I'd almost certainly buy it from them.
There is no way that in the first week kmart (or any other store for that department store matter), will have it under $80. I'd bet you a copy of the game they won't. :)
They'll probably price it at ~$90, but it won't drop much lower than that for at least a month after release.

How is GoW3 any different from MW2, or AC2 or Bioshock 2, they all had it around that price ($78) in the first week, unless I'm much mistaken???
Because it's an exclusive, stores won't be buying as many in bulk which means less profit margin, which in turn will mean we won't see prices dramatically below rrp for a while.

No Sorry, We have sold out of our allocation and the only other AU retailer that was offering it is EB and they have removed it from their site which leads me to believe they cant get anymore either :(
