    Don't like stores that do this… big 20% sale on but some of the ITEMS are a rip off and still more expensive than other shops once you apply the discount.

    Take this for example ADVOCATE for Cats OVER 4kg 6month supply (http://www.petstock.com.au/shop-online?page=shop.product_det…)
    = $77.99 .. after discount $61.60

    ValueVet.com.au = $53.13 over 10% better again (http://www.valuevet.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&…)

    LoveMyPet.com.au = $54.00 http://www.lovemypet.com.au/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Y…)

    OzPetShop.com.au = $57.95 (http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_info.php/products_id/349…)

    And there are probably more even cheaper..

    Additionally, there is a Pet Supplies seller on Ebay based in Australia who is currently selling it for $59.90 Free P&H.

      ValueVet.com.au = $53.13 (+ postage only viewable by registering)

      LoveMyPet.com.au = $54.00 (+$6.95 postage = 60.95)

      OzPetShop.com.au = $57.95 (+ postage only viewable by registering)

      I agree with your sentiments, but you are comparing a bricks and mortar store with online retailers. Don't get me wrong, cheaper is cheaper, but wormer/flea treatments are but one product type. You are negging the entire sale because of 1 product?

        Exactly, a B&M is rarely going to be cheaper than online.. but when they ARE cheaper by a good amount.. by all means put up a post saying what a good deal PETSTock has on such and such an item.

        But so far, the advertisement may as well be, 'Come in and shop at prices similar to those of our competitors.. maybe even a few dollars more expensive.'

        It isn't a bargain shopping at regular everyday prices.

        I might add, the OP just posted a blanket 20% sale, and the website does the same thing.. no examples of sales.
        I had to go and do my own research. You go do yours.. and come back with some stunning results for us.

        • What's the point? You already decided your vote. I'm not going to change your mind. Nor do I care about trying to. Not worth it. But for those who might go down to Petstock, they may find a bargain.

            @AntMan76: It wasn't for me.. it was for those viewing the thread.

            Anyway, not a bargain.

    Shop there all the time.. compared to other pet stores like pets paradise and various others they are pretty cheap. often goto the 20% off sales and they are always packed.

    BOHN: good to see you didnt even factor in the postage costs with those prices, once added im sure will come pretty close to the 20% off pet stock prices

      The point is.. it isn't really a big discount, now is it? It is bringing the price to a NEAR acceptable level. Either way, it is NOT a bargain.

      Did you not even read the bit about the Pet Supplier on ebay who has Free P&H for $59.90 ?

  • Just because you can get an item or two cheaper else where does not necessarily Mean this isn’t a bargain. Last time they had this sale I was able to go in and buy 3 20kg bags of dog food cheaper than I am able to get it at any competing stores, plus a few other items for our dog including some toy’s and a bed.

    • Just because you say you got a good deal 'last time they had this sale' doesn't necessarily mean that it was a bargain. Heavily inflated prices can make it tricky to distinguish true bargains.

  • Off the top of my head BigW sell the 12kg bags for $29 PETstock was $31 however it was better value to buy the 18kg bags which Big W did not stock they also did not stock as many varieties as PETstock both in flavours and in age group eg puppy junior and adult. This was with the Super coat branded dog food.

    • It is a shame they won't discount Iams and Eukanuba food .. That would be something ;)
