[PC] Free Steam Key - Glacier 3 - The Meltdown - Indiegala (Save $9.99)

150

Racing game

Game has 27% positive reviews on Steam. Haven't played so cannot say how accurate it is. Doesn't look to bad to waste a little bit of time though.

    Overwhelmingly negative.

I don't add junk to my steam list anymore. That's not a comment against your post or anything.

    • Fair enough.
Some people use those games to get Steam badges and XP. I have a separate category for them so the games I do not want to play are in that.

      • I have a separate account. I just keep adding all the free rubbish to it and then gift any cards etc to my main account to sell.

        • I tried to do that (my family has to have more than one account anyway due to number of kids) but due to the stupid Steam rule you need to spend at least $5 on the "second" account. That is one instance where the rule does not catch out scammers and criminals but legitimate users.

        • while i see the advantage is doing it, a "fake" account is hardly a legitimate user….

        • @Lysander: I used my old account. It was so full of rubbish from bundles I got fed up and started a new one and only added games I actually wanted/play. The old account is one I have on the spare PC when friends come over. I rarely buy bundles anymore for that reason; they may be cheap but they are 90% rubbish.

@nosdan: should I care if its a 'legitimate' user or not? To me it is equivalent to a recycle bin. Steam keys go in, the occasion marketable item comes out. I tried giving the keys away but people recognised them for what they were; Steam library padding.

        • @CyberGenesys: sorry i should have quoted what i was replying to. was replying to lysanders comment

That is one instance where the rule does not catch out scammers and criminals but legitimate users.

i think the $5 thing is a perfect working example of how to reduce illegitimate accounts while protecting legit users.

        • @nosdan:

Sorry, used the wrong word. It is not a fake account as in the sense it is not being used. I redeem retail keys (from bundles and traded) there and free giveaways.
So I have actually paid for the games and there is nothing fake, illegal or illegitimate about it. Why should I be forced to buy from Steam directly instead of from an authorised Steam reseller to have full use of the account. How am I not a legitimate user if I redeem free keys, bundle keys and traded keys?
That is unfair and the $5 threshold does nothing to deter scammers. $5 is nothing to them but it is a lot of money to a kid who is using pocket money to buy games and trade games and gets free giveaways.
