Thats all we need to know haha.
That really really really is all that we need to know.
For most situations plasma>lcd and 4k on a 65" tv is not really going to be noticed unless you sit very close to your tv.
Not OLED or Plasma either, Panasonic are kidding themselves. Thank god I got the last of the Plasmas, hope it lasts until they get themselves together and offer a compelling reason to upgrade.
Are you saying Plasma is better than LED?
I have a 50inch panasonic 720p plasma which I want to replace with a LED of some sort to save on power.
yes plasma take more electriciy and it's screen is very reflective (no good in room with windows). BUT plasma color ranges are better I think.
Plasma destroys LED, OLED destroys plasma (except for some issues still being ironed out)
OLED is the only thing plasma fanboys (myself included) pine for.
@hamwhisperer: Which is why I just bought a 65" FHD - will buy an OLED to replace it once they're affordable. 4K is a marketing exercise.
@Mic Cullen: When I can get an 85" 4k OLED for under $3000 AUD I'm in. (so around 2019 at a guess) :/ hope the 65" plasma lasts till then.
@hamwhisperer: Same plan here, same timeframe in mind.
@Mic Cullen: What people don't realise is you need a GODDAMN BIG TV to see a real 4k benefit.
I'm typing this reply on my 65" plasma, I'm sitting 7' from it - I'd barely notice a diff going to 4k and I sit way closer than most people
@hamwhisperer: Exactly. Marketing rules, as ever.
Where can i get a 4K OLED 65" TV for under $2000??? Need to replace my plasma as it has severe xBox burn in on it…
In my car…
That sounds a bit dodgy… Now, if you had a white van and were selling me the left overs from an install job that they over supplied to, now that sounds legit :D
Well, this page of comments is testament to the power of marketing…
Not 4k
