My friend has one of these. Really look great.

    • -4

      white friend always looks good.

  • Will it work on win 8.1?

    • Apparently it does, however you need Cable for Windows seperately.

I haven't seen MS selling the cable seperately (it comes with controller if you buy the windows version)

      • thanks for your reply, thought i can use it straightaway

      • +8

isn't it just a micro usb cable?

      • +3

I think any micro usb cable will work.

They also now sell (or will soon) a wireless dongle to allow wireless connectivity. Not sure if that works on 8.1 or is limited to Windows 10.

        • +6

yes, it's just a micro USB cable and no the wireless dongle will not work on anything apart from Windows 10 (officially anyway)

          hope this helps everyone

          @KRiSX:

Yet to see a wireless Xbox One Controller dongle on OzBargain…

But then again they aren't due in Australia till the 13th Nov or so.

        • @futaris:

20th November for JB Hifi (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/pc-adapte…), 26th for EB (https://ebgames.com.au/pc-209640-Xbox-One-Wireless-Controlle…).

JB is slightly cheaper as postage is cheaper with them as well (although EB do allow pickup), ordered mine the other day. Still, considering this is selling for about $25 US, we're actually getting a pretty good price on it.

        • @futaris: yeah I never said they were out, but they're coming as the others have since advised :)

        • i was and am 8.0, 8.1, 10 user, can confirm the dongle work on all those windows system.
i am talking about the xbox 360 dongle, not sure about the xbox one dongle

        • @Hornpub:

i am talking about the xbox 360 dongle

Well we are all talking about the Xbox One dongle - so thanks for your comment.

  • What's the go with delivery?
Estimated delivery between Fri. 27 Nov. - Fri. 4 Dec. seems like an excessively long time.

Click and Collect all my nearest store have it in stock but they all say Ready for pickup Wed. 18 Nov. around 8:00 am. A whole week to pick something off shelf already in stock?

    • Had the same thing when I bought Tomb raider on Tuesday, says the delivery won't be until the 21st…bit ridiculous

    • Dont bother about the emstimated delivery with bigw they overstate i had my order arrive that wasnt meant to come till the 24th of november today

    • Mins is ready for pick up today

    Headphone jack, sold!

This will go nicely with my new Xbox that is on its way from Big W ($366 w/ Fifa 16 deal)

This has been an expensive week.

  • Purchased. Can't pick up till wed 18th Nov.

  • Got mine 2 weeks early from ozgameshop for $84. I wish I had waited for this

  • Is this better than the standard controller they have for $10 less?

    • Pretty sure it's just the standard controller with the headphone jack built in, but with the lunar paint job

      • think it also has extra grip on the back which the black one doesn't have

  • Anyone know of any good deals on the white ps4 controller?

  • +1

I love my 360 wired controller for Windows. Haven't used a XBONE controller, what are the biggest selling points? Any advantage over the 360 controller?

    • Im not sure if the XBONE wireless controller works on a PC without the dongle…

      • you need the dongle for wireless, but any micro usb cable works as well

        • I see. The wireless xbox 360 controller doesnt work even if the cable is plugged in. It is either wireless+dongle or fully wired controller.

        • So it's better to use steam controller to play wireless then?

        • @k3nn3th323: is the steam controller even available in aus yet?

        • @hoftos:

          it's preordered through amazon :)
but i think it's a better alternative if you don't have to own it now,
since you won't need to buy any separate dongle to play wireless

    • +1

Probably nothing massive enough to justify an upgrade. They tweaked the buttons, triggers etc for the Xbox One. Some people liked those changes, some didn't. If you're happy with your current controller I'd probably just stick with it.

The Xbox One also has a slightly more seamless shell. The back battery compartment is flush and there isn't visible screws any more holding it together. Both relatively minor things I'd say.

This particular model (Lunar White) does have a soft rubber for the hand grips, but you wont find that on most controllers. I'm hoping they bring it to a black model other than the Elite at some point.

      • +1

The Elite version has few more tweaks to it, doesn't it?
Just checked, ok the Elite is a way more pimped up version.

    • the d pad on the xbone controller is so much better

  • Welp I can't seem to use the paypal checkout process, enter my log in credentials, it thinks about it for a bit, then prompts me to enter them again, rinse and repeat

Can log in paypal in a seperate tab just fine

  • This is not as good as the Harvey Norman one, where you only pay 65.50

    • $64.85 after cash rewards and delivered :)

      • Oh yeah, almost forgot :) thanks for the heads up, and yeah this deal is better :)

    • TRENT86 - Where do you find it for $65 at H/N?

      • gotta buy two for $78ea and then use the $25 bonus for signing up to newsletter. Brings them to 65ea. I ended up doing this just using a throwaway email.

        • Thanks. Can you pick up in store at H/N. I get an E.T.A of 27 Nov-4 Dec for the Woolies click and collect.

        • @QueSeraSera:

I picked mine up 2 days ago in store. I'm in WA though..

  • Nope no OzB birthday rewards here :(

  • after page loaded, out of stock damn so close!

btw, is this one comes with a USB dongo? it is wireless right?(really dont want a wired one…)

i do have a xbox 360 dongle will that work? ( really planing resell the 360 so this thing is like 36$ for me after all…)

    (some what relevant: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTAwMVgxMDAx/z/apQAAOSwv0tVQHlT/$_1.JPG 9bucks)

    • I feel your pain mate, was beaten in the confirm payment screen to the last one.

Same thing also happened to me with NFS earlier! Just my luck -_-

  • I'm more of a PS fan but I gotta say, this colour scheme is sick.

  • need http://tinyurl.com/donglexb1 this to work?? or the xb360 dongle wii do just fine? coz the dongles worth 25$ish by itself wtf…..

    • No, the Xbox 360 one doesn't work. If you need it, buy it from the links I posted earlier from JB or EB.

    • I'd just wait till knockoff adapters come out.

    • that's why it's not worth it if you want to use it on windows IMHO, too much hassle & cost

      • +1

true man. i got mine wireless xbox 360 controller from MSY for 16 bucks last boxing day with dongle included, with that happens this time around !!and sell my xbox 360 controller for 20 to even make it more epic.

  • -1

These pro controllers are 32? at EB, worth asking at your local as they are normally just thrown into the glass display cabinets

    • Those would be third party controllers.

      • no thats the official ones, thats the price I have seen it at twice at Seaford EB Games. Was either 32 or 37
My bad, I meant 2nd hand

        • Maybe it's store specific. Otherwise, it's pre-owned.
          New $69.95
          Pre-owned $36 (currently on sale $27)

        • "THIS CONTROLLER COULD BE A THIRD PARTY MODEL. COLOUR CHOSEN AT RANDOM AND MAY VARY"

Can't they identify the third-party models from the official controllers? Just covering themselves?

  • Spewin I missed out on the Xbox one controller!! Colours are mad

  • I purchased one of the Lunar controllers yesterday and had a look at my Paypal account. It says I got charged $84. I definitely applied the coupon. I even got an e-mail confirming my order that says "Free postage. AU $16.80 voucher applied." The ebay order details also says $67.20. What's the deal?

I feel like I've done something wrong. Here's a screenshot of the transaction in Paypal.

    • Look at the left hand side of your screenshot… It says where the money came from pretty clearly.

You still paid the full amount of what the item was selling for, just that 20% of it came from eBay.

      • Yes, I noticed that but I wasn't really sure what that meant. My Paypal summary says -$84.00 which is what really confused me. So everything went as it should? Sorry if I seem a bit clueless on this. (That's because I am. :P)

        • +1

Yeah mate, it's all good. Mine shows the same thing, you'll find that your credit card/bank account/PayPal funds were only deducted the $67.20 :-)

  • My Lunar controller is ready for pick up already, the estimated time for delivery was a lie! I also picked up my xbox with Fifa this morning too, great timing.

  • Do you think big w will restock? I saw a few at the local shopping centre in the cabinets :(

  • Cool. We can all get this so we can play Cloud Strife in Smash Brothers….. Nnnngh suddenly after saying that I feel ill…….
