Yes I'm aware of that deal too. Good bargain! But this can be an alternative for people who is already with Amaysim or would rather get it in-store.
Makes me wonder why it would be a recharge when these sort of deals usually only happen on SIM starter kits (so for new customers).
If the sim card can be used later, it may be useful for some.

amaysim is doing the same $5 deal on their web site. Not a recharge but a new customer order SIM card starter offer. So i'm thinking there's a good chance that the offer from Coles may also be only for new customers. I'm not sure if the picture of an UNLIMITED 2GB SIM starter kit in the price ticket in the thread photo is real but that indicates a SIM starter but it's not one that i've seen before, maybe it's a new starter kit that's just come out that's not yet shown on the Coles web site?.

This will be useful in order to cycle churn away from the $10 Telstra starter packs.
My store had this advertised but come up as full price on self self & registers even with a sim card scanned with it. In the end unfortunately they did not honour the deal.
Anyone bought one confirm whether its new customers only? (i just noticed this at my local coles but didn't get one…..)
