Looks like its $10 for 3 months
Promotion: 3months
$10 per month for your first 3 months of UNLIMITED 5GB"UNLIMITED 5GB" - isn't that contradictory?
Unlimited calls and texts, 5GB of data.
Now I can confirm it is $10 covering 3 months. $10 for 90 days.
I only started to use it about 2 weeks after I ordered, and about 10 days I received SIM. That 10 days or 2 weeks were what I lost.
I should have started to use to 8 or 9 days after I ordered, then they could adjust activate date.
On the linked webpage, where does it say $10 off?
On Purple banner….
$10 for 3 months for UNL 5GB. Code: 3MONTHS. Online orders only, to 30 Nov.Ahh - ad block was blocking the banner
What purple banner? I only see an orangr banne, and I can't see any mention of of the deal. What gives?.
Ain't purple where I come from :-)
I am actually wondering about this as well. I tried both IE and Chrome. The amaysim website is only showing purple banner with the $5 off 1st month promo. Nothing shows the 3months promo as far as i can see (no ad blocks on my pc).Only place showing the deal seems to be the cashrewards site…
I just clicked on the "orange" $39.90 p/month deal on link page above, then entered the 3MONTHS code during ordering.
It immediately gave $29.90 discount, showing $10 owing.
Or very similar to that.
So got 3months for $10 total.@Bargitrage:
Cool thanks for that. Maybe they are waiting for the last promo to finish before changing the add on the purple banner…
Looks like its $10 for 3 months
just ported my number to Lyca 2hours ago and recharged :(
order anyway, you don't have to port immediately
How long can you wait to port? Would like to take up this offer and then delay it as long as possible to use my up Telstra contract.
Its $10 per month for 3 month as per online chat
also remember to use cash rewards as this will give you the 90 days you need for $42 cashback to track
really?! what do you mean by $42 cash back?! :o
sorry, meant $35 cashback
no worries… in this case, it outweigh referral bonus! r u sure though? cuz I reckon cashback people look at transaction, after promotion!
ive just pm'd TA, lets wait and see what he says
Thanks EC. I can confirm that cashback will not be awarded for this offer, as this coupon & promo is not advertised on the Cashrewards site. TA.
@tightarse: Who called the fun police? :p
@malouphix: Haha. Blame EC. He PM'd me :)
@tightarse: LOL!
@tightarse: Sorry TA. But the code is advertised on cashrewards website and it says up to $45 cashback.
isn't it $39 cashback at qwibble?
It is now advertised on the cash rewards site. Signed up last night and got an email saying that my $35 cashback is now "pending".
I don't think you can use 2 codes at checkout.
no code required at checkout.
Just got through the cashrewards link
on the link it says "Use this code at the store checkout" "FIVER"
ive just pm'd TA, lets wait and see what he says
Hi EC, dont want to oppose you but when I confirmed with online chat they told me it is $10 for 3 months and not $10/month.
When i applied the code at checkout, its deducted $30 to make it $10
may be expiry on account will be after 3 month. Will know once I receive the sim card and activate it. Will keep you posted.
I checked with them via chat and they said it's $10/m for 3months
All trumphed by Telstra Freedom Plus CreditMe2U. 1GB for 25 cents funny money on superior network.
Would love to know more about this deal. Link?
Insert Pre-paid sim into a phone and SMS Transfer to 125 8888 and follow through with the return SMSs, this is the only way to use CreditMe2U on a Data Pass service.
So Freedom plus works with CreditMe2U data pass?? Awesome!! Im gonna keep doing the data pass everyday :)
I am still lost. Do we need to be on a Freedom Plus plan? I got a prepaid but it runs on an old plan. I also don't get what Data Pass mean. WOuld be appreciated if you could expand on this a bit :D
You might want to change your plan to Freedom Plus. ie. A $50 recharge will give you 50$ real credit plus unlimited sms/calls to Australian numbers and $550 bonus International calls and 4bg data + 4gb bonus night data. With this plan and assuming that CreditMe2U is working on it. We can transfer $10 from it to another Telstra number thus received a bonus 1gb of data for free. ie.
Sim 1 transfer $10 of the $50 credit.
Sim 1 = $40 Credit left
= Sim 2 received $10 + bonus 1gb data.Sim 2 transfer $10 back to Sim 1
Sim 2 $0 Credit
= Sim 1 received $10 plus the $40 credit left + bonus 1gb bonus data.Be advised that each transfer is charged at $0.25.
@HandsomeMonkey: That's a great explanation. I really appreciate the effort.
One more question. Is this 1Gb bonus on only Freedom Plus plans? Cuz here and then I send some credit using CreditMe2U to my girlfriend and non of us ever received such a bonus. It's a fair amount though. I like it.
I promised one question but now that I'm thinking about another :D, i'm wondering if this is a promo for a limited time and also can you keep pumping it and get 1 GB bonus or it's just once a month/recharge etc.
Also interested,
Could you potentially activate a $30 starter kit as a Data Pass plan and then another as a Long Life plan and then just send $1 across to the data pass… How long does it take the 1GB to expire? No worries,
An extensive look at the procedures here.

calls?
Thanks my pocket wifi thanks you.
As I'm simpleton: does one just purchase sim and place in pocket wifi?
Ensure the pocket WIFI is unlocked and make sure you change the APN settings on it.
If you need a hand just PM me I'll help you.
Ty. I'll buy one and give it a go :)
I recommend getting this one
http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/telstra-mf9…
Use DC-Unlocker or there is someone on ozbargain that can give you an unlock code for $5 to $10 bucks. Sorry I'll msg you if I remember his nickname.
It's Bagman
@Flyerone:lol that's him thanks for that flyerone.
I have a pocket wifi modem locked to Optus, reckon an amaysim sim would work in it?
I reckon it would work.
Thanks. Hope the coverage is decent.
whats the price after 3 months ?
edit - $39.9
39.90/mth
$39.90 auto-renews every 30 days (you can change to Pay As You Go after Activate)
You can change as you go straight away. I did it after buying the sim on the self service page.
is it prepaid or postpaid? thanks
both - you can choose auto renewal by cr card, or change payment to bpay and it will fail to renew cos u didnt pay.
can port out or cancel at any time, no contractWhat about excess data and international call? Do you incur charges or will it shit down due to insufficient credit?
For international call, you'll need to add credit as i'nationl calls are not included in your plan.International calls are not included in UNLIMITED 1GB, UNLIMITED 2GB and UNLIMITED 5GB, but don't worry – you can still call and text overseas with your amaysim service, no matter what plan you're on. Our cheap international rates start from just 6c/min with no flagfall, depending on the country you call. Here's how it works, depending on your payment option:
For Postpaid customers, you'll find the additional charges on your next monthly bill.
For Prepaid customers, you'll need to make sure you have additional AS YOU GO credit to cover the cost of international calls and texts. We recommend you set up an auto top-up for this – that way, the credit will stay in your account whenever your UNLIMITED plan auto-renews.https://www.amaysim.com.au/help-support/international/can-I-…
Cool so it's not like bill you later thing while you could rake up thousands of dollars of charges?
What about excess data? Add credit or keep billing you?@wildstone:
I think they'll keep billing you.."You’ll need extra credit in your account if you’re Prepaid, but if you’re Postpaid you’ll find the charges on your next monthly bill"
https://www.amaysim.com.au/help-support/plans-pricing/what-h…Plus i guess i was wrong on internatinal call-> Looks like they charge you in your bill for international calls.
https://www.amaysim.com.au/help-support/international/can-I-…Okay thanks. So real question is whether this is a prepaid or postpaid service?
Is this a prepaid or postpaid?
@wildstone:
I tried this few times and i guess by-default its pre-paid. But better check with themOr buy a calling card from 7-11, such as the GoTalk and call USA etc for a couple of cents a minute. My Mrs is from New York, used to call her mom for an hour each week for about $1.20. Fantastic.
@Gershom: Looks like you are replying in wrong thread.
@pyramid:
I was responding to wildstone and you talking about international calls. It's cheaper on GoTalk cards than buying the Amaysim add on package.
Hi guys, if I am currently on Amaysim but want to port out and back in to take advantage of this deal, which is a good cheap non-Optus provider to port to? eg do I just pick up a $2 vodafone sim - can I do that without joining a specific plan?
Lyca mobile should be good :)
thanks! they're telstra network so that's perfect - as long as it's not Optus, since Optus-Optus ports take so much longer.
But can the number porting in Lyca be done online.Any idea how long it takes for lyca to activate this number
Edit: Ok seems like it can be done by calling up the customer service
Yes you can do it.
You can't port in and out that quickly.
You'll need to port out. Wait 3-4 days for amaysim to drop off your number from the system before you can order a new sim. Then wait another 3 business days for delivery of the sim (if outside Sydney).
It means you'll probably need to port to someone for 10 days.
Yep that's fine, I was thinking to port for around 2 weeks anyway.
will you have the same cc and email address for your account?
I've ported in and out next day with no issues with Amaysim.
is it any quicker porting to voda then back in?.
so is it like
$10 - Ultd talk text + 5GB in nov 2015
$10 - Ultd talk text + 5GB in DEC 2015
$10 - Ultd talk text + 5GB in JAN 2016
and that is how it works, creating so much confusion up there
you would need to have your credit card on file i assume for auto renewal, otherwise it will revert to PAYG for insufficient fund which with forfeit the offer
Probably they are relying on people to forget to turn off auto renewal before the end of the 3 months
Alright, So this is a month to month plan (no lock-in), but they want your credit card details on file…
It would be so. Otherwise it will revert to PAYG if you forget to popup for the offer .
When it reverts to PAYG, then offer is over
For calls not included in the cap
@easternculture: Not bad. Can give it a try.
I'm confused here, is it $10 per month for 3 months (totalling $30), or $10 for 3 months (totalling $10)?
No, it is $10 for all 3 months, so $3.33.3333 per month.
is there any fee to change plan after 3 months? I'm with spintel, can i cancel the contract with them (30 days notice) and then start with amaysim, or will I have to activate before 30 nov?
no fee. When you turn off auto renewal, it will revert to PAYG
That's my question too. I need to keep current plan till January. Can I activate the sim I will receive, on January 2016? :D
nope. It comes preactivated
damn, was thinking getting one for my mom's short stay with us next year.
guess no deal for me.
Any links to the info ? The last batch of sims I had from them weren't activated.
was it next day shipping
@easternculture:
I don't recall. Is that the way to tell if it's pre-activated ?no
is that $10/month for 3 months or $10 flat for the 3 months total? e.g. $3.33/month?
