Big W/JB selling it locally for $69 too.

    • It says its $84 on the Big W website atm. Maybe its gone up?? https://www.bigw.com.au/search/?text=fallout+4

    • Pretty good price. I think it will not be linked to steam though, if that matters to anyone.

      • +1

It will be linked to Steam, it's the DRM for the game.

        • Awesome! No worries then (besides the not so bargain op)

      • If theres any issues you can add non Steam games to Steam so you can connect with your Steam friends. Bottom left corner of Steam - Add A Game/Add a Non Steam Game. Hope this helps :)

I can definitely confirm that like all modern Bethesda PC games, the retail version activates and installs in Steam.

  • I'm expecting it be be around $50 sometime early next week. Kicking myself I missed the JB deal though.

Also I think the game is $60 AUD on GMG with the 20% off coupon.

    • +1

That is still in US dollars on GMG. People have been complaining.

  • The game has steamworks meaning you can use the key from your physical copy bought in Aus and register it on steam. There is nearly no reason to not just buy here at that price. I did that with mine.

  • Umm found this post from another OzB member just then, Fallout 4 $51.20 @ Target Ebay - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/219169

      No PC?

      • Oh ok yeah seems to be just Xbox One and PS4, missed the bit where it says theyre out of stock too

Just FYI for people wanting to buy it on PC and have slow internet connection:

File size is 24GB for digital download, 19GB download if you install with a physical copy (Comes with 1 DVD and have approx. 5.2GB worth of game file on it)

    • +5

      WHAT??? That's Bullsh*t

I paid 100% of the money for 100% of the game, why is there still 19gig to download?

"“PC requires activation on Steam. Console does not. Console ship on Blu-rays, PC ships on DVDs,” the executive said in a followup tweet."

Took me 12hours to download the 19GB but it was worth it! Played for 4 hours and I am still doing tutorial levels because I am busy building my settlement lol…

oh my god this game sounds so good, going by what you're saying there's just so much to do,,,,,,, urgh sounds like borderlands with the looting aspect but much more to it

but really the price-time graphs for new games have a bigger slope than kim k's artificially ripened bosoms, must resist urge not to wait it out for a lower price

        • +2

@KeplersLaws: I resisted the pre-order urge, and now must resist the post-launch hype… holding out for a Christmas special..

        • @brannor:

I bought on preorder from JB since it was $59, glad i did buy it since it's gone up in price now

I had Call of Duty on PS4 and still ended up downloading 3gigs when i got it, lame…. was hoping the PC version wouldnt need to update

          stupid gaming platforms

        • @KeplersLaws:

Don't get me wrong, this game still has the usual Bethesda bugs but I haven't come across any game breaking one… yet.

If you played any survival mmo with base building in the past, you will feel right at home with this one.

$69 PC steam, actually AUD and not some shady thing like G2A or this

    • I dont know the site I linked got good reviews and the CJS link above rated really well too

      • i guess, but to me ozgameshop seems more legit, and i buy physical games from them all the time

        • Had a look theyve got a physical address which is good, theyre based in Sheffield UK tho just FYI, so theyre overseas. I guess the Oz part makes it feel local to us and we're probably their target market I guess. I know what you mean tho about liking some stores over others though, whether its though ease of ordering or just liking their site or the fact its got Oz in the title, something draws you and you order with them a couple of times fault free and then they become a trusted site and bookmarked as your favourite. Ive dealt with a couple of online game companies that I can swear by like Green Man Gaming's awesome, GameHolds seems pretty good, Kinguin not a problem with them either. The sites I havent used I just check out all their reviews online and see what people say about them before ordering. This goes for more than just games though, like for instance the site StrawberryNet that sells cosmetics and skin care theyre as dodgy as they come selling counterfeit chinese knock offs for not much cheaper than the original price. So it goes for everything online, youve really got to check out the site first before you buy stuff :)

  • anyone had any luck with Instant-Gaming?
I read some reviews about they require ID check photo verification and if you buy b y Hipay cc option it can fail and be a headache to reclaim the funds?
