Alfresco 4 Burner Barbeque with Side Burner - BBQ Galore - $299 Normally $699

370

Grab one today from ACT Majura park store. Went to the store and they said out of stock and can order for me to collect next Friday but the price would be 699. Get out of the store order online then went back to store for pick up…guess what they have it in stock….anyway… Chinese made, build quality looks good. For 299 its a good deal imo. First post at OzBargain. Cheers

  • At least its cheaper rhan last year and probably at its right price point…. but you are not getting a 799 bbq on the cheap

  • Thanks for the post. Been looking at buying a new bbq.. Been eyeing off the 4 burner char-broil with the current masters ebay promo for $400. Another option to ponder. Have you assembled and cooked or is that a weekend job

    • Finished assembly but haven't used yet..will try tonighy if weather permit.

  • Maybe this one, use the CGET20 code to get 20% off for a net price of $239.20 click & collect

    • Nah…apples and oranges - for $60 more you'd get a much nicer looking stainless steel BBQ.

  • this particular BBQ is on "sale" just about every second week. As per an earlier poster states it's cheaper on this deal than their usual discount, however it's a pretty poor to average BBQ. IMO not worth $299, however YMMV.

I went and had a look at this bbq. It is not even worth $300 imo. Better off getting the cheap one from Aldi that they had recently.

This BBQ is "half price" every second week at BBQ's Galore.
It works well enough provide you keep it protected from the rain and season the plate /very/ well.

If you're looking for a Weber, BBQ's Galore only stock the basic Weber's and will try and sell you a Zeigler & Brown.
Try a proper camping store and pay the extra $10 for the Special Edition Weber which comes with a high lid, thermom, full ignition

Avoid the Alfresco like the plague.

We got interested and went and had a look at the gepps cross store, pushy staff who knew next to nothing, it's a lot smaller than you would think and to make things nastier, it's using a cooking area that could fit two trays and be acceptable, a grill and a hotplate.

As you know you don't get the hotplate they want extra for that, but in this small space instead of having it in two sections it's in 3.

Thats right 3 tiny trays, so if you buy the hotplate you've got the tiniest ever hotplate on your cooktop.

We showed the salesman the competitions offerings including the red center 4 burner at masters with 20% off on ebay with click and collect and how it came with a hotplate and got a blank stare as he tried to shoot it down, but on paper it was superior.

Showed him the reviews of the alfresco after he tried to BS us telling us it was a top australian model, tried to lie to us when we told him it's your own home brand and the reviews are extremely mixed, he told us he'd never heard a bad review so we showed him one lol.

Drove over to the masters at adelaide airport, even their cheap nasty grills were better than anything barbecues galore had, we ended up grabbing the stainless 6 burner that was 399 with 20% off, it absolutely reigns fire over this cheap nasty piece, grab that or the 4 burner version and enjoy it :)
