  • Sorry, I couldn't post the direct link to the eBay listing because the store wasn't a top rated seller so I posted the link in the description instead.

    • So wouldn't that mean this post isn't allowed?

      • Well OnlyOnline is a top rated seller but for some reason OzBargain would allow me to post the link.

        • Deal cannot be posted for domain ebay.com.au (onlyonline) due to: eBay deals can only be posted if the seller is a top-rated seller. If the seller is not a top-rated seller but has an official website, just specify the website in the Store Domain field.

Fixed up now for you. OnlyOnline isn't a top rated seller, however you can still post for them as they have a website. In the future just enter oo.com.au in the store domain field after pasting the eBay link (if it doesn't do it automatically, which it will from now on for this particular eBay store).

          Thanks

  • couldn't find any reviews. anyone used it before? ta

  • Ignore it found it.

  • How easy is it to actually make bread with these things and to make a loaf what would the cost be?

    • +1

Simple, just tip in a bread mix pack from the supermarket.
Will cost more than 85c ;) but there's nothing like the smell of fresh bread wafting through your house.

Max size if 900 grams could be considered small.

Been doing this for 15+ years.

2 1/2 cups plain flour (don't need expensive bread flour)
      1 cup water
1 tbsp oil (any vegetable oil will do)
      1tsp salt
1 1/2 tsps yeast ( I use Lowan Premium Bakers' Yeast - a 280g tin costs not a lot, and makes heaps of loaves)

Bung it on the French Loaf cycle.

I use the same recipe for pizza dough in the machine.

      • Thanks Chris, really handy feedback.
Do you have any suggestions on multigrain?

        • Sorry, mate, but I buy the Laucke bread mix packs if we want anything other than white bread.

BTW, a bread maker is also good for making pasta dough.

      • (don't need expensive bread flour)

Don't need, but if you want cheap its hard to beat 85 cents for mushy home brand.
Bread flour has more protein (gluten) and tastes better. Still close to $1/loaf if you buy the 20kg sacks of bread mix.
Supermarkets don't seem to stock it these days, except plain white, so you may need to find a commercial supplier.

Fresh home-made bread is great, and these make it so easy.
For pizza dough, I've tried plain flour, and it did not make a lot of difference there. Either way, so much better than supermarket pizza base (or dominos!).

yea am wondering about the quality of the machines….anyone had one before?

    • I actually have no idea as I couldn't find any reviews either but you can go wrong for $42 dollars, I reckon its worth a try. I only intend to use it as a bread kneader and a humidity controlled bread proofer anyway.

Digital bread huh? Lots of bits in the bread? :)

    • +3

and you can take a byte of the bread once you counted eight bits of the bread :)

      • +1

For those with only 4 bits of bread, you're welcome to have a nibble ;)

All these years I've been eating analogue bread… I've never truly lived!

      • +3

I only eat analogue bread, I buy it from independent non-commercial bakers, you've probably never heard of them they're new

Is that in CtPa Town? I've been thinking about buying an apartment there.

        • +1

@Putnum: Lol yeah next to the Whole Foods!

        • +2

Ha! My grandmother has been making digital bread her whole life. Digitally kneaded.

  • How long does it take to cook the bread?

    • +1

Depends on the recipe but around 3 hours.

      • Cheers,

to buy or not to buy..

  • I've been using a bread maker for about 4-5 months now, VERY HAPPY with it. Mine is a Breville that looks a lot like this one.

I definitely recommend them. Use a bread mix for maximum ease of use, or just google some recipes.

  • I am wondering whether anyone know where to buy replacement KNEADING BLADE / PADDLE for Breadmaker?

    • They cost as much as this machine. And the bearings usually go before the paddle.
So I'm buying this before my current machine needs service/repair. Sadly, not worth it.

  • I have the aldi one lumia still in box. Is this better?

    • I returned the ALDI one, better go and get a Panasonic.

      • What was wrong with it?

  • how can i enter the discount code?

  • +1

Mine arrived at work this arvo. Looking forward to baking a loaf for lunch tomorrow!

  • I just noticed that despite being prompted for the reduced price, I got charged the full price. I even got sent an email from eBay saying it was $42.19. I strongly recommend people check that the correct amount was charged.

    • Thats weird, I just checked and I was only charged $42.19.
