I played the beta and I was excited as you mentioned as they are marketing it like its going back to its roots. Its pretty rubbish
I see this heading to the bargain bins are quickly as The Run did.

Maybe they should do a underground or black HD remake.
I think there is an underground 2 hd mods out there.
I did the 10 hour trial, definitely not worth the price. I got about 50% game completion in that time, with lots of stuffing about. Many people have finished the game in 10 hours, so not a lot of content. and yep, unnecessary online connection adding lag for no benefit. So much potential :(

Keep in mind that the general consensus is that the game is pretty rubbish.
played beta and also 2 hours of ea access member trail which I am illegible to play for ten hours and stopped. pretty rubish, not like a new gen console game. control was hard. the only good thing was that pretty girl in the videos.
Not a bad game, but is not the Underground that they made me think it was going to be :(

If you want to collect NFS games then get this, but honestly if you're on the fence I would probably pass on this game altogether. Not only is the single player an always online, you can't even pause when playing single player. Furthermore, its a racing game with no manual transmission and no interior view.
From what I've heard about this game so far it seems like an attempt to fool us into thinking they have gone back to the days of NFS Underground but is in fact the same old BS. I have read that; no manual gear option, always online connection, DLC that costs more than the base game etc. Personally I would avoid it, reviews aren't that great either.
