This is a great unit for use as a TV. The resolution is only HD (1366x768). Does not work well as a monitor. Great value at this price point, free shipping. 3 year warranty that includes backlight

Something seems odd about this deal.
Are you associated with the store? Otherwise thanks for signing up just to post this deal.
This is a commercial signage display that's designed for long hours of operation. It isn't targeted at home users. Seems like a good price for one of those.

From the specs:
TV Tuner No
Awful deal as it sucks as a monitor according to the OP and to use it as a TV you'll need a tuner.
a good test to see what time the mod's get to work on a monday morning ;)
What, a positive vote??
A Queenslander….
No I am not associated with the store and yes I did sign up just to post this deal.
To me, it seemed like a great bargain. It is a great unit to connect to an apple tv, media player or even the nvidia shield box. I'm not sure why there's so much hate considering @ this price point, you will not find a better panel and warranty.
yes would of been a great deal 10 years ago…
Does not work well as a monitor
or a tv as well with that resolution i imagine
Might be OK to watch my VHS tapes…
Perfect for my Commodore 64!
You can't compare a cheap Kogan home TV to a commercial LCD display.
You can when it is being presented as a cheap TV option.
I look at the item itself, rather than the description. People's descriptions may not be accurate.
It's no longer 1980 when NEC was a great brand.
Kogan uses a wide variety of panels in their products. Some are crap, some are great.
Don't buy a 768p monitor. It's a horrible resolution for the size and you'll be upscaling or downscaling all media….and it's overpriced for what it is.
Once again, this is not a TV for home use.
This is a commercial LCD display for digital signage, e.g. ads in shop windows, menu displays behind counters, information displays in airports, video conferencing stations, etc. That is why there are features like RS232 control and button lockout so people can't fiddle with the TV.
It is also rated for 12h/7d operation, with a 3-year warranty.
The display itself is good, it's just the OP's description of it that is incorrect.
768P? For an extra $70 you can actually get a decent tv.
