Hello, we have an aging but very well taken care of Ipad 2 64GB that we would like to trade in for an Ipad 2 Mini. According to Apple's website, they do accept trade-ins now for older ipad (except ipad 1st gen).
Just wondering if anyone has tried to trade in their older ipads to Apple and if so, what sort of trade in value we can negotiate to?

I went to Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/au/shop/browse/reuse_and_recycle) and there is a link to Brightstar Tradein Portal (https://reuserecycle-apple-au.brightstar.com/tradeiniPad) and after I key in the relevant details, it says I am eligible to receive a gift card of $105.
I am just wondering if I take the ipad to Apple in store will I get similar cash for it. I hope to get a bit more out of it though but I do acknowledge that it is an old device.

Just a guess, but I think $50-$75.
Last year they were offering up to $215 for ipads. Ipad air 1 was the latest one out at the time and I assume it would have been the for 128GB 4G model.
