  • Is this a powerful blower? Anyone know what CC suits what type of job?

  • Is this a good price are are they really required have a mower and trimmer I got recently but not one of these what is the purpose, have seen my gardener use one in past

  • +1

Bought one today but haven't tried it yet. I bought it mostly to blow away leaves from trees that pile up. Cant be bothered sweeping them up anymore. Will also use to blow away grass clippings that catcher doesn't get

    • -3

'Cant be bothered sweeping them up anymore.' - That's the spirit; just buy a useless noisy machine that'll end up costing you more for that sole tree of yours than a $2 rake and a bit of elbow grease :/

      • Trees not tree. Also I don't sweep with a rake I use a broom.

  • I dont have much issues with leaves but my mower sure makes a mess of grass clippings seems to blow a lot outside of it at first,so is this worth buying just for that when i can use a brush,i have a mower same brand which was on a deal sometime back but not sure if this worth buying as well

    • only you can answer that. do you think it's worth not having to sweep it up?

  • +5

Bad choice - all blowers too loud. You still have to pick up leaves. Many users blow them down storm water outlets.

Use vacuum, mulch and let the blowing be elsewhere

  • Im just wondering if most use have one it does suck a little when after cutting grass etc the mess it can leave paths etc but is it worth the price of one to do this bs grabbing the brush to quickly sweep up

    • +4

      What?

    • +1

Yes I agree the most use have and it does suck cutting grass and mess on paths that worth price what

  • +1

Key start feature is great for those older or with wrecked shoulders.

  • PLEASE NO MORE BLOODY LEAFBLOWERS IN THIS WORLD.
Idiot noise devices, use a bloody rake or the lawnmower. These things should be banned.

    • +3

Could say the same things about lawnmowers…

      • -2

You could try and say that about lawnmowers but to compare the 2 is madness. Leafblowers are VASTLY louder and for the most part, DON'T DO ANYTHING

Disembowel those would dare use leafblowers, filthy things.

        • +3

I pull mine out every time the old bag next door sparks a ciggy and then proceeds to chain smoke. Problem solved.

  • Will this be good for blowing leaves off the gutters?

    • +3

Yes. Its also good for cleaning the car. Drying it off after a wash, and miles better than a vac inside, just open all the doors and blast it out.

I'm a bit concerned this one says it comes with a wall charger, does that mean the engine doesn't charge the starter battery?

      • @stumo, there's no concern charging the key-start battery off a wall charger. It'd be my preference !

My victa corvette key start lawn mower is the same. Key start battery charges off a wall charger. You just run an extension cord to the supplied charger.

If I allowed this blower's key-start battery to flatten and it did charge off the engine only, I'd be stuffed. Wouldn't be able to start it with my bugged shoulder the old-fashioned way.

Only if your bucking for a darwin award.

Now I can really give the neighbors the shits.
9:30AM on Sunday Raaaaawn raaaan rn rn rn rn rraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwn.
    Fark 'em.

    • +2

      9:30? What's the wait.

      • +2

        Lol.
I have learned from neighborhood leaf blowers that the exquisite sweet spot is Sunday extra dreaming time in bed. That's when you want to cut right in with the raaaaaaaaawn.
Any earlier and you could have people screaming/throwing things at you.
        9:30 is plausible :)

        • Tempting someone with tech savvy to see whether they can gum up your wifi signal on a weekend aren't you?

I mean unless your neighbours started in which case not only go for the raaaaawn but add some wifi RF interference as well….

    • I like to flush the outboard on the boat around 7:30am…

  • i already bought this couple of weeks ago for $90. i used to have the old electric blower/vac and it broke. NOTE it mixes with 2 stroke 40:1

  • this machine is a neighbourhood friend-maker, trust me

  • site under maintenance lol

    • surprised they can even afford to maintain it.

  • Wonder how it compares to this at a similar price http://www.bunnings.com.au/homelite-26cc-2-stroke-petrol-blo…

    • no key start on Bunnings blower

  • Has anyone purchased one i take its not a great buy as does not seem to be many on this post who like them?

    • i have

    • it's not this one specifically they don't like, it's all of them.

  • No stock left at Chullora in case anyone was thinking of going there..

  • We've just started using our pool and i find that the pool cover always has leaves on it and i spend a good ten minutes fishing them out when i take the cover off.
Would it be a good option to use one of these to blow the leaves off the cover and onto the deck where I could then sweep them up at a convenient time?
