Decent deal on greenman gaming if you haven't pre-ordered Fallout 4 yet.

The discount code expires Tuesday 3AM AEST. Fallout 4 is available to play from Tuesday 2AM AEST. Coincidence?

The pre-download is available on steam now so you can download it and start playing straight away at 2AM on Tuesday.

Seems to only work with non-discounted games e.g. Black Ops 3 is 28% off and costs $42.99. The voucher doesn't work to give you any further discount.

EDIT: I am an idiot and thought it was in AUD :-( Not a deal at all so marked as expired. Only reason I bought from them is I was expecting delivery issues on day one if I pre-orded from JBHIFI.

It's actually US$60, which is about AU$85. All prices on GMG are in USD as stated in their terms and conditions - http://www.greenmangaming.com/terms-and-conditions/ (Search for the word "dollars").

If you do want the game for AU$60, two good, legitimate options are to preorder in-store at JB Hi-Fi (online stock is sold out) or get it from Ozgameshop.

Thank you, you beat me to posting this.

I Pre ordered this of GMG back in September at a similar deal - but when checking my CC statement it showed un USD. GMG then confirmed over email that they charge USD for Australia.

Funstock Digital has it much cheaper, i got it for $62AUD back in October. I believe it's still on but note: GMG customers have started preloading already, Funstock aren't releasing keys until Monday UK time, as they had issues with duplicate COD Pre order keys and don't want to repeat that.

    • http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/au/en/pc/games/action/fallou… I assumed from this link that because it says AU it is in AUD. $75 - 20% = $60 AUD

      • You'd think so, but I think it's just on there as an indicator because it's a higher price specifically for the Australian version of their site. It's only US$59.99 on their US site.

Yeeep. Thats part of the BS from GMG.
"Oh you're from Australia? Here you can only buy the AU version of the game thats the exact same and also still in US dollars for some reason, even though its the AU version. The only difference is we charge you an extra $15 US for some reason"
Charge us $60 US or $75 AU. Bumping the price and keeping the US$ is stupid.
At least its better than the $90 US the used to have it for.

It's not GMG, it's the publishers. GMG were bitchslapped a few years ago for undercutting pricing upfront so now they have a permanent ANZ discount code - GMGAUS-30J9MF-MUINWW (gives 30% off any game game market ANZ. Sadly Fallout 4 is marked AU, I'd contact them and ask if you want the discount as they usually fix it up).

Still not worth it though, works out at $52.50US or about $75 Australian. But the code was amazing when the aussie dollar wasn't so terrible and retailers here were still selling for $90, often it would be by far the cheapest way to buy new games

    • I upvoted this comment but accidentally negged it. Forgive my poor soul.

  • Any other games i can get or better off just waiting for a steam sales?
Im waiting for a batman franchise sale.
I tried to obtain the game that may not have been totally legal but its a pain in the arse. And i want to be able to finish a game without it crashing!!
so i figured may as well buy them as they can get so cheap.

You can pre-order the physical version for $59 at JB-HIFI i think its a really good price for a physical copy

    • Called up my local store and they said that $59 will be the normal price for Fallout 4 when it gets released aswell.

      • I called up Nunawading this morning and they told me that normal price would go up to $69.

        • +3

          Hilariously it's about $115Aus on steam .

        • @troyww: wow you are right.
          That is hilarious!!

Physical copy for PC version will probably only have 1 dvd with only part of the game.

      • It will have the launcher app which will download the full game.

      • this has apparently been confirmed by Bethesda on twitter, there's only around 5GB on the disk, the rest is a download. I'm fairly pissed now, Bethesda said it was like what they had done with prior games such as Wolfenstein NO, but that game was 20GB+ on disks and a 10GB download :(

      Will that redeem to Steam?

      • Every PC version of the game will require Steam to run. So yeah, it follows that any kind of PC key will redeem on Steam.

      • Yeah, you get a key code with in 5 minutes then can redeem it in steam and start the 26GB game download.

        • I meant for the physical disc version from JBhifi

        • @CyberGenesys:

You'll get part of the game installed into your steam account but then will still need to download around 20GB worth of files before you can play it.

    • Much better method for people like me with a crappy as internet speed :D

      • +1

You will still need to download most of the game via Steam. Was same for Skyrim, etc.

    • For those who ordered physical copy like me, the steam preload has been uploaded already (almost 24Gb), which can save us heaps of downtime waiting for the steam code.

      • On steam or do you mean Usenet and torrents?

  • I just purchased COD Black Ops 3. Costed around $60.00 AUD.

The website was a little unclear on currency. Had I known, I would of just bought the physical copy for the same price.
