I bought a $10 TPLink one but it's close to useless (same strength as your average $50 phone hotspot), what are these like?

    • I haven't received mine yet but Amazon user reviews is 3.7/5.0

TP Link are the world's shittiest router when it come to Wireless, their wired are ok but wireless are weak and sometime you get good reception other time bad reception from the same location.

      • The Archer range like D9, D7, C9, C7 are good.

      • User problem?

Garbage in, garbage out. Next time, spend more than $50 dollars on a router. Ideally, don't buy sub-$150 routers.

I've had my Netgear Trek for more than a year now and I've used it on several of my overseas trips. I prefer this (300 Mbps) to my TP-Link TL-MR3020 (150 Mbps). Speed tested this against TP-Link and results are slightly better. If you won't be using a 3G/4G USB dongle then this is a great choice.

Also check out its review on SmallNetBuilder.

Says temporarily out of stock for me.

    • I think you get that error if you click the link on a mobile device. Works fine when on desktop.

      • Yup you're right but I cant find anywhere within Brisbane area in stock. $9.95 delivery! Think I'll pass.

  • out of stock

    • Are you on a mobile? It's showing as instock for me.

  • is this worth $30?
what speeds am i looking at with this thing?

    • 100/69

      • How many mb is that if i dl something

  • Not available for CnC in the entire Melbourne and Sydney I guess.

    • Still shows up as available to collect from Macquarie Centre 2113. That's near enough Sydney CBD.

  • I bought one. Im almost sure it will be cancelled like all my other orders from dse

    • I got a collect notification after about an hour of placing the order so I should be able to get it when I turn up in store, fingers crossed.

      • That's promising. Im at the sane shop

  • wow what a miracle. My first online DSE order that has actually worked. Got the email today and picked it up with no dramas. The router seems to work fine.
