Need Suggestions Regarding Bedroom Suite Purchased

Hi guys This is first time for me writing on any forum so sorry for my vocabulary:

I need your suggesting regarding one of the purchases I made. I purchased a Bedroom suite from myfurniturestore.com.au from there Liverpool warehouse in Sydney start of July it arrived in August 2015 but when I opened it up bedhead was different than one I ordered also finishing on one of the side table is not done properly I can see yellowish ting on one side of the table. I called them on next business day and reported these issues. I was advised they will take care of this and wanted me to send them pictures of the bed head and side table which I sent but since than every time I contacted them there response was they will contact there supplier (insato furniture) to rectify the issue but did not made any attempt to fix the issue.

After 6 week of no response I contacted fair trading they tried to contact the Myfurniturestore for 3 weeks no response they advised me to contact NSW civil & administrative tribunal which i did had a hearing on 22/10/2015 again myfurniturestore representative did a no show.

Its been 3 months I have not been able to sleep in my room because whole bed is sitting dismantled in my room. Now NSW civil & administrative tribunal wants me to send details on which I have based my case to the Owner of myfurniturestore. My evidence are only payment receipts & email trail with them nothing else. But I have to send these details on the registered ABN address which is just the postcode or for ASICS address I will have to pay $9 or $19. Even after tribunal give directive that owner of myfurniturestore pay the money and remove furniture I will have to pay extra money to make that order enforceable I had already paid $48 for tribunal fee for the hearing. Looking at the reviews on product review website they will create extra fuss about bed is not in original packaging and charging some stupid percentage for it even though i have packing for rest of the items. Not to mention I have to take a day off from work to go to hearing all these expenses on top of original purchase price of $3299.

Seems like getting justice is not cheap in even simple cases.

what do you guys think I should accept what ever I have got and move on. Since its wasting time money and I not being able to use my bedroom at all. Also I would like to write negative reviews about both these furniture stores.

  • Did you pay on credit card? If so chargeback?

    • I payed through credit card I have tried but commonwealth bank says cannot dispute the charge until you have items sitting in your house.

    Did you pay using Paypal or credit card? Either ways, if Paypal, you could dispute or if credit card, you could reverse the transaction?

      • Since you're from Sydney yourself, would it be possible to arrange for it to be delivered back to their warehouse and then do a chargeback?

        • I talked to the bank about that but they say I have make a written complaint and then they will take this matter with the supplier and I am not sure how good that work out if they refuse to take it back at the shop which is 99% possibility according my experience while dealing with this business.

          Since you've been patient for so long, why not just try the written complaint option? Nothing to lose as far as you're concerned.

          btw, how much was this bed?

          I will go to bank and try that option as well thanks for that
