It's a bit of effort for this one which may put the general public off. Basically, host a BBQ take a video or 3 photos and submit your entry.
- To enter, a Team must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:
a) Host a Be My Guest Event: host a Trafalgar ‘Be My Guest’ BBQ in their home or in a local community setting (see https://www.trafalgar.com/aus/choose-trafalgar/be-my-guest for details);
b) Takes Photographs or a Video: take three (3) photographs (“Photos”) or one (1) video of up to sixty (60) seconds (“Video”) at their Be My Guest BBQ that shows the Team with family and friends gathered at the BBQ, and demonstrates the Team’s BBQ cooking skills, BBQ recipes, and the overall dining experience they created at the BBQ (including the food, decorations and dinner setting). The Team must be featured in the Photos/Video; and then
c) Submit Entry: visit www.worldbbqchampion.com.au, follow the prompts to the promotion entry page, input the requested details (include the full name of each person in the Team, a valid email address, contact telephone number, and a residential address), provide an original and creative answer to the promotional question “Tell us why you have hosted the best be My Guest BBQ experience” in 25 words or less, upload their Photos or Video (as applicable) to the entry form, and submit the fully completed entry form.
If you are one of the top five finalists then you win this:
- The five (5) best valid entries (each a “Finalist Team”), as determined by the judges, will each win the following prize:
• One (1) Weber BBQ pack, valued at AU$660.80, including 1x Baby Weber Q, 1 x portable cart, 1 x roasting trivet, 1 x half hotplate, 1 x BBQ cover and delivery to their nominated Australian residential address. For the sake of clarity, only (1) Webber BBQ pack will be awarded to the Team; and
• the opportunity for that Team to compete in a BBQ cook off in Sydney, NSW (“Australian BBQ Cook Off”) valued up to $2,000, including:
• return economy flights from their nearest Australian capital city to Sydney, NSW (only provided if the Finalist Team resides outside of NSW). If a Finalist Team is from NSW, then the prize does not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash;
• return transfers from the airport in Sydney to the accommodation (only provided if the Finalist Team resides outside of NSW);
• two (2) nights twin-share accommodation in a minimum 3-star hotel in Sydney, NSW (exact hotel determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion), with check-in on 26/11/2015 and check-out on 28/11/2015; and
• the opportunity to complete in the Australian BBQ Cook Off against the other Finalist Teams on 27/11/2015.
And if you win that you win this:
• return economy airfares with United Airlines from the Winning Team’s nearest Australian capital city to Chicago, Illinois;
• transfers from the Chicago airport to the accommodation in Chicago;
• three (3) nights twin-share accommodation at a minimum 3-star hotel in Chicago (exact hotel determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion);
• a visit to Weber HQ, including :
o a tour of Weber’s New World Headquarters;
o the opportunity to “Build Your Own Q”, with the created BBQ being shipped back to the Team’s nominated mailing address in Australia. The Team can only create one (1) BBQ between them – they will not receive one (1) BBQ per person;
o lunch by Weber Grill Masters (exact menu determined by the Promoter);
o a VIP dinner at Weber Grill Restaurant (exact menu determined by the Promoter); and
o personalised lessons from Weber’s Global Grill Master at Weber’s Grill Academy;
• return transfers from the accommodation in Chicago to accommodation in St Louis, Missouri;
• two (2) nights twin share accommodation at a minimum 3-star hotel in St Louis (exact hotel determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion);
• one (1) dinner in St Louis, up to the valued of AU$50 per person;
• the opportunity to complete in the USA vs Australia BBQ Cook Off against other teams in St Louis, which will take place sometime in January/February 2016 (on an exact date yet to be confirmed). The USA vs Australia BBQ Cook Off is subject to the terms and conditions of the event organisers. If one (1) or both members of the Winning Team fail to attend the USA vs Australia BBQ Cook Off by the time specified, or otherwise engages in any inappropriate, aggressive or offensive conduct in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, they may be disqualified. Winning Team must follow the reasonable directions of the Promoter or its representatives at all times during the USA vs Australia BBQ Cook Off. More details regarding the USA vs Australia BBQ Cook Off will be provided to the Winning Team prior to the event; and
• transfers from the accommodation in St Louis to the airport in Chicago.
