what you are saying does not seem to be consistent with the prices advertised on wotif.
Perhaps you know a secret way of booking hotel rooms for cheap prices in advance, and you can enlighten us?

I just had a look on Wotif and you are indeed absolutely correct, but then again, if you check the Hotelclub prices they are bit lower for the same room/date than Wotif. The Wotif price, which I assume you are using as a benchmark, is twice as much as Stamford's, so in any case, this is a good deal if you're looking to stay 2 nights or more.
However, if I find a secret way of booking hotel rooms for cheap prices in advance, I'll let you know. :)
I got the Auckland Plaza one for $105 per night when I booked 4months recently.
I know some friends who always call up stamford and book them on the phone and they always get way cheaper than wotif prices.
In reality, the rack rates shown on the website are hardly imposed (if ever) unless you do a walk-in, I guess. I stayed at one the Stamford's in Sydney during peak season for 1 night and it was about half the price of the rack rate and furthermore this deal only applies if you stay for 2 nights so in my opinion this deal is nothing special.
