    1m is not enough

    • I got one in the 'pre-sale'. Have to say it's a nice cable but 1m just doesn't cut it. Needs to be at least 1.5m

    • I want at least 2.5m!

  • Ordered four. Hope they're legit :)

  • Purchased during 'pre-sale', have yet to receive it yet.

  • Picked up two, never know when they might come in handy.

  • '(Compatible With iOS 8)'

But we are on iOS 9 now

    • +1

No diff cable wise between the two

      • Correct however, when Apple update an iOS this is where some of the fake cables stop working

  • I just checked, and there are still 15 packs of two 1 meter MFi certified AUKEY brand Lightning cables available via the GetOne app for today. They are US$9.99 for each pack of two cables delivered. That is about AU$14.30 via PayPal or under AU$7.15 each.

    • the actual cable which looks like Apple's exact cable is probably the reason why I would stay away, after some bending it will get cracks in the cable. I only stick to Tikbro or BlitzWolf, the actual cable and materials used is what makes them durable and quality.

AUKEY are quite a well respected brand.

Anyway here are 426 reviews from Amazon.

        361 Positive and 65 critical.

        • Thanks for that, I only read a dozen reviews and 70-30, 70% being positive. 30% being cable fell apart/bad batch or stopped working after x months. I guess it's not a bad deal then

  • Thanks great deal, I only trust the quality from Tikbro and it seems Blitzwolf have the equivalent in quality at a reasonable price.

  • Arrgh just bought two 20cm officework iphone lightnng cable sigh

  • anyone know how long it would take for these to arrive. going overseas on 1 December and want to take a few

      7-25 business days

      I wouldnt risk it.
It will prob arrive on dec 2nd haha!

Nah, jokes asside i dont really count how many days it takes for things to arrive from banggood, but its usually a month atleast

    • Mine arrived earlier this week since the pre-order and it said it would ship before the 12 Oct so say a week and a bit after the said ship date.

  • I purchased two of these in the pre-order and they arrived on Monday. Faster than I was expecting! I am happy enough with them to get a few more now… also considering my local Officeworks had no stock during the deal a few days ago.
I just hope they keep working for a decent amount of time. I'm getting a bit tired of 'certified' cables that suddenly stop working after 6 months or so.

MFi Certified cables would be from 'known' brands, and so should have a 12 month or longer warranty.

      • Yes, that is true… but when an item is such a low cost already it often isn't worth the time or postage cost to return!

  • 30 AWG isn't great.

Anyway, if you want multiples, https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/3-pack-mfi-lightning-usb-cable-… has 3 for $21 (free shipping). Also MFi.

      No, that is a lie.

I had quite some correspondence with Kogan Support about this. They can't supply any proof that these cables are MFi Certified.

If you look at the picture they use - there is no brand name on the cable ends. Apple tell me that MFi Certified cables all have the makers brand/logo on the connector. There is also a list of MFi Certified manufacturers/brands available via the Apple web site.

      • If you go to https://mfi.apple.com/MFiWeb/getAPS.action and search for brand Kogan, they are there.
The Kogan cables actually have Kogan printed on the cable.
        I didn't find Blitzwolf.

        • Umm whats mfi?

        • It's short for Made For iPod/iPhone/iPad. It's Apple's certification program for peripherals. If it's MFi compliant it has the authentication chip that manufacturers license from Apple to work within their ecosystem.

MFi items have the logo on it.

          Wow! That is new.

Back when I was talking with Kogan Support, and searching Apple's MFi database, I had to agree to a non-disclosure agreement - and there was no auto searching by brand/name etc.

  • Thanks OP. Any chance of a deal on longer cables?

has anyone considered getting/already using the original lightning to microusb adapter from apple instead?

  • im down to one lightning cable, i put a heat shrink wrap in the base of the lightning head, hopefully this lasts longer, got 18 months from my last original apple one.
