I call "Nerd Alert". I hope they are better than episodes 1-3; I would personally like to slap Lucas for ruining a good franchise. I'm old school so I remember when "A New Hope" came out - it was magnificent; still one of the most quotable films there is.
I'm just glad they're making new movies. 1 - 3 weren't that bad, they were still entertaining.
Sorry dude, they were that bad. Jar Jar Binks on his own was a capital offence. Combine that with foisting on us the guy who played older Anakin and Lucas is going to find himself consigned to the inner circles of hell.

Seems to be the current tread though, sacrificing decent story telling & acting for special effects, explosions and drawn out battle sequences that I feel add nothing but minutes to a bland story (Transformers)
To be fair, Transformers is just a feature length car advert.
I tend to agree, but I don't think you were ever going to get Shakespeare for a film based on the Transformers cartoon series; not to mention the toy franchise. If I was an actor I'm not sure I would be writing it on my resume.
The thing I really lament is the loss of the clever banter between the actors that was evident in the first Star Wars film, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Pirates of the Carribean - The Curse of the Black Pearl. They need to spend more time polishing the script and less time editing the special effects.

Just booked my tickets, using a prepaid gold class voucher - but still had to pay a $4.25 booking fee.
Now I remember why I stopped going to the movies!Yep same but $6.50 booking fee lol ah well :)
