  Got a bunch of these at the last Harvey Norman clearance and they are terrible. Maybe it was a bad batch but the slider doesn't lock in place so you have to hold the plastic bit firmly to plug it in.
  Returned them and got another lot the same sadly. YMMV

    Agreed. Good deal, but they are slow. Slooooooooow. Painfully slow.

    Re the USB sticks…
    Same here, got 8 in the last deal.

    They are slow and what's more due to bad design they often semi retract when you plug them in and cause dodgy connections.

    I have to echo the same criticisms. That thumb slide idea is super dumb. When you try to insert the drive it pushes back into the cover.

    They are OK in a pinch. You can store operating systems or emergency devices drivers or something on them but I wouldn't use them for daily stuff.

  I have a WDTV Media Player. Is the Apple TV better or worth getting?

    Apple TV is the best device if you want to stream iTunes to your TV and it also has the Netflix app if you don't have a smart TV. WDTV is good for watching videos and it will play almost all file types but won't steam from iTunes.
