Can anyone comment on how much more suction Dyson V6 has over a DC45. Will a DC45 suffice for floor boards? It's a big jump in $ for the V6.
Don't forget the V6 Animal for $422.25
Comparison of the V6 models http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/dyson-v6-handstick-vacuum
For floorboards I would assume less of a jump in performance from the DC45 to the V6.
The extra suction power of the V6 would be more noticeable for carpet cleaning.*Maybe someone who has made the upgrade can comment more, I have a DC45.
Thanks for your time.
Replied to wrong comment.
Get the Dyson DC58 Animal version. Same motor as the V6 and can be had for $278.8 with CLICK15

That's hand held, not stick.
The Dysons look pretty cool hanging up. It's a shame they perform so poorly and need emptying every five minutes. If only aesthetics could overcome the laws of physics.
We have a pull around model a couple of years old, and a rechargeable unit that somehow snuck into the house a few months after the other. The purchaser has finally suggested we get something else because they really are crap, and you are forever emptying them…..
Haha, hence your name…
As for performance, the Dyson is doing quite well for its size. The downside is that it sounds like an airplane taking off.
When you said you need to empty the unit every 5 mins, I think you should hire professional cleaner instead cause no domestic vacuum can handle that amount of dust/rubbish.
yes i think some people need to realise that a handheld vacuum really is for small jobs, cleaning the car etc
if you are planning on vacuum an entire house with one, then im not surprised you need to empty it every 5 minutes
Is it worth getting v6 absolute over miele c3 cat & dog ($460)?
