Not always, for instance $67 delivered for PES2016 (PS4) is far cheaper than AU stores. You just can't rely on them to be cheaper on most things as they once were but are still worth checking out.
Yeah, they're still a decent store but not as good as they were a couple of years ago. Most retailers are getting better with their pricing (not including EB).
@holden93 agreed - their prices are inflated. Before buying make sure you price check before thinking you're saving 15%.
Hopefully there will be a cheapy or two. I have my eye on a couple of items.
kinda hard to stay so cheap when the aus dollar buys so little atm
Was thinking the same thing. Actually did a few calculations with some prices at JB vs American standard. Taking into consideration the conversion rate many of the brand new games JB comes out with are around $5 cheaper than what they are in Target/Gamespot in America.
I was waiting and waiting for one of these to come along, only to give up last week and order something… seems to happen more often than not!
Unfortunately due to the dollar and (just slightly) more aggressive pricing by BigW etc, these guys are rarely competitive anymore on new releases, and even on older stuff they're not so great. On the odd time that they are, the $2 delivery fee for orders <$50 is off-putting. They've lost SO many smaller orders from me since they brought that in…
Do we know if it will be a blanket 10% off as standard, or will I need a coupon code? I just got a birthday code and am hoping to use it together with this deal, but I know their system only accepts one code.
Which sucks, and yeah it will probably be a code. They don't like us using the player points codes in combination with sales, so I don't think tomorrow will be any different.
I nabbed the last copy of Destiny Legendary Ed on Xbox One. It was recently reduced to $74.99, so 10% off made it $67.49
They also still have the 10% back in player points promotion on it, which it has given me at 7499 points so $7.50, and I also used the crappy 1.6% cashback because it all adds up, right?
Now I've got 18,774 points with Ozgameshop so if I get another 1230 points on something I can get a $26 voucher for 20,000 or if I go for 25,000 points I get a $35 voucher! Might go for that one ;)
Cheers for pointing out the cashrewards cashback. I always forget to see what stores are possible.
This coupon is great to use on some games that are priced equally everywhere like Metal Gear Solid 5 PS4/Xboxone… unless I'm missing some cheap store where you can get the game for under $69?
Need to spend another 76 cents to get free shipping darn!
Just bought some board games from their sister site 365games.co.uk who are running the same 10% promo. Ended up a bunch cheaper than going through OzGameShop, and still had free shipping to Aus. The three games in total were $164 on OzGameShop but $139 on 365Games (when using 28 Degrees MasterCard for currency conversion).
Some things might be more expensive - the Wii U games I looked at were cheaper on OzGameShop - but it's certainly worth comparing the two.
But are there any bargains?
ozgameshop is a complete rip off now.
