Beer Bud - 15% off Any Purchase

craftbreweries

I found a discount code for Beer Bud, who have a great selection of craft beers available for shipping Australia wide.

Beer Bud also have a referral system where the referee get's 15% off their first order and the referrer get's $10 if the referee purchases anything. I'm not sure if this 15% is stackable with the coupon code, but if it is, then that would be a very decent 30% discount!

Feel free to use my referral link click here or just jump on the the site manually :)

Most of their prices are equal to or higher than bricks & mortar liquor outlets here in Brisbane. The 15% discount is negated by the delivery fee, so unfortunately no deal here for me.

They do have a lowest price guarantee, but I understand your point, especially if you can just collect it on the way home!

      • Hmm, do they? A match guarantee though means you have to go to the effort to try and get them to agree to give it to you, then place an order, probably have them "adjust an order manually". Now if the coupon would work on top of it though that'd be nice…

        • Agreed, they should match and then let you use the coupon. Might be worth trying!

  • Shame they are more geared to mixed cartons, which means you are automatically paying a premium. Eg even with the 15% off, if DM has the beer, it'll be cheaper there even with the 15% off.

Yeah, more mixed. I think well suited to people who want to try a few new things. Although, you can still purchase one by the slab, just do a search by brewery and choose which beer :)

If a beer is worth drinking 1 or 4 or 6 of, it is worth drinking 24… :P And if you only have 6 then you'd want to order more. I have tried some mixed cartons before and found that the problem for me.

Hmm yeah some of them do show as cartons. Looks like none of the ones I was looking at (the dark varieties)

        • But you can get stuck with 24 duds as well.

Some of the prices aren't bad, it's just the delivery that kills it in comparison with buying at a store (e.g. Dan's).

For example, Burleigh Brewing Co's Hef Beer is $19.99 for 6, as opposed to $21.99 for 6 at Dan's. Although in saying that, oddly enough it's cheaper by the case at Dan's by $2…

That's before the 15% off, but still need to add delivery (as you would with Dan if you were buying online).

    • I'm often stuck with delivery for a lot of the beers type I like anyhow. Stouts and porters are generally pretty hard to get a good range in store.

Their shipping rates are not bad though.

Dan Murphy's Connections range is a pretty good similar scheme to these now too. Like the Balmain bock is 65.50 shipped from that range at DM.

  • Love the idea of a subscription service, but $80 for 16 beers delivered to WA makes it about $5 a stubby.. better off just visiting the local bottlo where most average $3-4 a stubby.
